My grand-daughter (who's now 6) started going with me in the evenings to feed when she was 2-1/2-3 years old. One day I was listening to the Dark Side album and naturally Time was the first song to play. After it was over she asks me to play it again. We listened to it two dozen times before we got home for supper. So that evening, out of the blue, she starts singing (her version) of the first paragraph and it turned into an hour long performance that we were smart enough to video portions of. Three years later she still wants to hear it every time she jumps in the old feed truck with me.

Wow. Now that’s cool !    Something about the flow of it just works. 
 

i recall a story I heard . I think it was waters wife. But one of the wives at any rate heard that song for the first time in a studio recording for testing.  She wept.   When asked why she said she knew that they had created something that would last for all time with that album.  
 

true story. On a class trip in the 8th grade to Washington DC , I heard this song from the back room of a building they were playing in. We were supppsed to be at fords theatre.  We left ( a group of about 6 of us ) and went exploring the streets. ( dumb I know ). And in an alley could hear music and went into an unlocked door and realized it was Pink Floyd and we were somewhere backstage.  I’ll never forget the muffled version I heard.  Was awesome.  Wasn’t until I was Older that I realized it had to be a cover band or a recording. To this day I don’t know though. The current capital one arena is only a couple blocks Away.  I don’t know what was there then. Lol. Small possibility it was real ?  
 

We left went back and weren’t caught at all . Amazing I survived to be an adult. Lol.

Yep, great riff and a classic!

 

Not sure how many Panorama albums were sold but I had it in cassette and don't remember anyone else having it in my circles and I couldn't understand why.

 

This album always reminds me of my commute from HS to a neighboring city's Career Center for advanced drafting.  Good times.

Saw Joe Bonamassa a week ago, that man can play, have seen him multiple times, always amazes!  Since the wind is really blowing, went back through this thread, and apparently, if not for Les Paul and Leo Fender, there would be no guitar solos.

Also, gotta mention this one. I don’t think Adam Jones is considered one of the best or most technically proficient guitarists, but he’s work on this song still floors me after repeated listens. Go to 7 minutes for the lead break but please listen to the whole song if you can:

Yes as I don't feel net worth has anything to do with it. It's more about your numerical physical appearance scores and how far apart they are. 😅 That's how touch see's it anyway.  

 

In this case a 4 snagged a 9. Five point difference = out kicked coverage.
