I don't think anything has really changed all that much, Tiger is 45, i remember 10 years ago wondering if he'd even play a semi full schedule this long. 

 

I can't see him walking away for good. I think he likes doing it too much. But playing 8-10 tournaments a year even if he can't win them? Sure i could see that

I dont think Tiger cares anymore. When he played the PNC with Charlie they asked him about this game and he said the most profound thing he has ever said  in his career "I DONT CARE ABOUT MY SWING..I am only interested in Charlies game"

Tiger is done in the sense he no longer has the hunger or driver for the game. Dont get me wrong he will still compete but his new passion and project is Charlie. Jacks 18 Majors mean nothing when it comes to his childrens needs. So yeah its over for him! 

 

People that are goal driven need a project or mission and now Tiger can channel that drive through his son. 

 

Also, people forget Tiger only practises less than 50% of what he used to do in his prime.  So yep he is more a less retired from golf. 

 

Has he said before winning the masters "Anything I win from now on is gravy".

I feel the same way. Looks like it’s all confirmed with the Sheriff and news reports. Sad event. Hope he gets the help he needs for his long term well being.

The Tiger camp is good at keeping things quiet so I hope we get details at some point today.  "multiple leg injuries requiring surgery"
