Can anybody compare all of the PXG hybrids? gen2 0317x is a tough act to follow

A lot of people in PXG threads will tell you that PXG makes the best hybrids in golf, particularly when talking about the Gen2 0317x hybrid.

Can anybody compare the Gen2 0317x, the 0211, the prototype hybrid, and the gen4 hybrid to each other? Things like forgiveness, launch and spin rates, MOI, CG, everything. I want it all.

Very interested in this thread. I have been going back & forth about switching from the Gen 2 317X's and the PING G425's.  The only way you can test clubs up here is to go through a fitting.

I own the Gen2 19* hybrid and tested it against the Proto hybrid. I can only say that, with the Proto being a little bigger, I did like the Proto better. Face feels better too.....but I am facing reality that maybe I am not a hybrid guy. I was fit into a Proto 5 wood and  thought would never happened. Here is a pic of the Proto on the left and Gen2 on the right. Both 19*. Last thing, Proto is good.

Picked up a 0317x 19 degree myself today.    One of those chance encounters.  And I’m pretty shocked at the performance.  And that’s high praise coming from the ping g400/410s I played  all last year.    Really good piece.  
 

that proto ^ above looks great too.  I don’t mind a bigger head.

can you compare launch and spin on the two of them? I have the gen2 with the heavy weights in the back for higher MOI, and with the way there are only 3 weights on the proto, I'm worried it will be lower launching and lower spinning. what about forgiveness?

I wish I could. Did not give the hybrids enough time on the monitor after just hitting the 5 wood so good. Going back this week for another 30 min session and will try the Proto hybrid again. I already sold my Gen2 hybrid. I can say the Proto is more forgiving is about it.

Proto is a nice refreshed look IMO but really with either’s adjustable weighting and loft sleeve, can be optimized nicely for anyone. Also, having the upto 3degree flat setting, right shaft and ball...anyone can be fitted. In all my testing over the past year, Gen 2 is hard to beat. Proto will be my next ones after I wear the Gen 2’s out.

When the gen 4 comes out they will price drop the proto ans I’ll grab one.

Is the ball flight higher than your 410?
