Sure people have loved golf but you cant be serious to think golf would be what it is today without tiger

Uh, that's got nothing at all to do with what you originally said, which was "this site probably doesn't exist if its not for what tiger has done for the game."

Crediting Tiger for the existence of Golfwrx dot com is about as silly as blaming Tiger for the disappearance of Bomb Squad Golf dot com.

as well as any possible correlation to him looking high as eff on Sunday

I'm a little surprised that is what moderation gives us for posts, frankly.

Best to avoid this thread altogether, only looked back in because I saw something I posted had been quoted  - then saw it included the above.

In the field , we call those units.....SPREADERS.....we also have other hydraulic operated tools including rams and cutters.....the new implementation is using battery operated extrication units .......jaws of life is a sensational media driven title.

Actually way back in the day ( remember I am an old fart) they were invented and made by the Hurst Company and were trademarked Hurst Jaws of Life. Kinda one of those things like some old timers call any knid of refrigerator a Frigidare or a washing machine a Kenmore. Yep they have come a long ways for you guys still in the service with battery packs. Yep I remember we had a seperate engine and hydraulic unit to run them.

This accident makes what Tiger said Sunday in the booth a bit spooky even though it was said under a different context.

When asked whether he’d be healthy for the Masters in seven weeks, Woods said, “God I hope so. I’ve got to get there first.

I think the 25mph sign is for trucks - looks like that portion of the road is pretty significantly downhill.

You know it very well could be to have the truck in lower gear going up the grade to stay in lower gears going down

As a former career firefighter for a large city, using Jaws of Life are not some crazy life or death thing all the time. I’ve used them on a side impact where the door was just dented shut to get a passenger out.

The “Jaws of Opening Dented Doors” doesn’t have quite the same ring to it.

I can imagine many posters secrety praying he never plays again.  Thats how sick some of the posters here are.

I truly don’t think that people are wishing that.. People speculating about possible crash factors, and wishing that the GOAT never plays again are vastly different.

Folks he has had two prior driving under the influence incidents and has just been involved in a freak single-car accident.  There is no "benefit of the doubt" anymore.  It's not unfair - you just lose the right to claim benefit of the doubt at a certain point.  If this was a non-famous person, what would you guess happened?  If this was some rock star with a history of this, would you give him the benefit of the doubt?

I've misunderstood U.S. Law.  For some reason I always thought it was "innocent until proven guilty".  Good thing I never pursued that J.D.!

TMZ has learned ... Tiger was staying at a hotel where a major network television show was being shot. Production sources tell TMZ, when the director arrived just before 7 AM, Tiger was driving his SUV very fast as he was leaving the property and almost hit the director's car. The director was shaken enough to tell production staff about it after he parked. A crew member who saw Tiger as he got in his SUV at the hotel tells TMZ, once Tiger got in his vehicle, there was a delay in driving off and he appeared "agitated and impatient." The crew member says once the delay was over, Tiger "took off fast."

There are two things you can learn by stopping your backswing at the top and checking the position of your hands: how many hands you have, and which one is wearing the glove.

Can we please get a full time driver/chauffeur for the G.O.A.T.?

He’s a much better driver of golf balls than SUV’s. Really hoping the best for him. Like many, he was the main reason I got seriously into golf.

Seriously, if I had his money, I would be getting chauffeured around in an Escalade like Vinnie Chase everywhere I went.

Ok everyone, I am convinced now.  Let's definitely not rush to judgment here.  Probably just missed a turn or something.

I've taken Norco multiple times, some extended, for back issues. Has no effect whatsoever on my cognitive function, that I can perceive. I also don't drink, but know that combination can be a disaster. I also know that you can toss what I said because it (Norco and or alcohol) affects people differently and then you've got the dosage question. My wife, for example, can get loopy quick on a small amount of alcohol. And all this is assuming he was DUI, and we don't know that yet.

Really hate this. I've seen all of his wins and most of his other tournaments and I've just had this huge respect for what he's done in this great game.

I’ve got one.  The first thing they teach you is that “innocent until proven guilty” is a legal standard not a musings on a golf website standard.

Let me go check my con law outline...been a while but I do recall something like that in there.  Let's just see if he asserts the First Amendment against these golfwrx claims though (guessing only other lawyers will truly get the humor of that one).

TMZ is usually spot on with their breaking news.

Agree. TMZ is usually pretty accurate with their reporting.

It sounds like Tiger may have received information that upset him. That is maybe why after getting into his SUV he did not drive away right away because he could have been reading a message, or talking to someone on the phone, that upset him...before driving off quickly upset and agitated.
