Tiger Car Accident. ***All Content Subject to Moderation***

TMZ: Oliver Konteh, a member of the crew working on the TV show "Grown-ish" recounted to us on video what the director said about Tiger nearly hitting his car just before 7 AM.

 

It's beginning to look like Tiger became upset by something prior to leaving the hotel parking lot - and when he did leave the parking lot he was driving recklessly...and later wrecked-out a short distance from the hotel. I very much doubt that 'running late' was the cause of the accident.

man, this is sad. tiger was my favorite golfer growing up (still is) and i've been super inspired to overcome some nagging health issues and play my best golf yet (in part) because of his miraculous comeback.

 

i really hope he's ok, and i hope he's able to pull a hogan and come back from this even stronger than before. i know it might be a lot to ask for but i'm still praying for him anyway. 🙏🙏🙏

Sounds like he maybe broke his femur like my friend who rolled his car. But my buddy got thrown out the sunroof I think.

The doctors are not supposed to release his information (HIPAA).

In addition to possible DUI drugs (prescription meds) and/or DUI drugs/alcoholic beverages it could have been:

• Driving too fast
• Looking at a cell phone (distracted driving)
• An animal ran out in front of him and he overcorrected to avoid it.

Lots of possibilities but DUI drugs seems most likely. 

So we are saying dude was loaded before 7am? While he probably had some pain meds in his system bc of his history, this one is just a stretch for me. We know he’s regularly up early, but he’s on the west coast and on west coast time. It’s not like he could get in a run or a work out at 4am with his back. And then he’s getting loaded for breakfast? 

Most likely the TMZ story sticks, pissed off got behind the wheel speeding probably arguing on the phone or texting, or maybe an animal. Speed and distracted driving is more likely than being lit up at that time.

Fortunately he did not kill or injure anyone else with his careless stupidity.  Will be interesting to hear results of his toxicology reports and phone records.

CNN reporting that he has compound fractures in his legs. That is assumed by the surgery, but now it’s being reported.

Speculation again.. if Tiger is finished competitively, wow.. he was never beat by anyone other than himself. The insane SEAL training, the marriage, the knee and back injuries, the vehicle accident here.. His accomplishments are on the charts (15 majors) and off the charts (US Open 2000 and so many other records like the cut streak), but man.. did he cause self-harm directly and indirectly.

News report is multiple compound fractures.  He will be fortunate to walk without assistance or a limp when this is all done.  I am a TW fan, and rarely watch when he's not in the mix because I generally don't otherwise care who wins among a group that, to me, is largely interchangeable.  Yes great golf etc. but I personally found my kids' sports more interesting than most pro sports because I could identify with a player or a team.  I do feel sad that this seems like the end of a unique era in professional sports.  I don't see him playing senior tour golf.  Hoping he has a good recovery and can spend some dad time with the kids.

The dude is in surgery, they haven't taken a blood panel or gotten it back yet. If the LAPD says the are not, it doesn't mean they will not. Semantics maybe but words mean things.

Based on the helicopter footage, this is approximately where he crashed. Its a sweeping left (if he was traveling northbound) road going down hilll. It looks like he crossed the median, south bound lanes, then ended up the embankment on the other side of the road (likely what helped flipped the car). He had to be driving too fast for such a large car, why he was driving too fast who knows.

But you are also making the assumption that it was being used and (more importantly), have you ever used navigation? There are plenty of instances in which the maps shown are rather misleading, making a slight turn in the road appear to be a hard left/ right or vice versa.

Commentator with some investigative experience looking at the video said that it did not roll since there was no damage to the body sides and roof, but the front end took a big impact and the rear end also had damage. Speculation is that the front end hit a bank or tree roots and that did most of the damage and possibly caused the vehicle to go end over end.  The entire front end was pushed back to the base of the windshield and it appeared that the engine and transmission were pushed partly under the car probably as it was designed to do in a wreck. Accident happened in Rolling Hills Estates, a mostly Residential Community.

A simple google search of that town & Hotels don't bring back ANY "Hotels" Tiger woods would likely stay at or in.  Air BnB's maybe but Is he staying at the ramada or Courtyard???

 

The only Place is possibly Terreana, which is a golf club on the ocean but Still was he leaving a Commercial Shoot or leaving this "Hotel".

Perhaps it's been mentioned, but Tiger DID NOT look good in the Jim Nance interview this past weekend. Further, in recent interviews, Tiger appeared to me (and others) to demonstrate difficulty articulating thoughts and words.
