I mean he doesn’t hit the center every time and even though they edit out “75%” of the shots they still leave plenty of slight miss hits in my opinion. Maybe not what a 20 hdcp would like to see but plenty for a decent ball striker. Only thing I wish is that his swing speed was about 10mph less for selfish comparison reasons.

I didn’t watch this yet on purpose, but the comment about less spin and not much less forgiveness is killing me.

My drive stats almost mirror his but he’s a better ball striker than I am at least from what’s aired on their YouTube.  I’m sure he has his misses just like the rest of us peasants.

Based on the launch and spin numbers from Matt and how those compare to the TS3 that he previously had lots of problems with, I imagine the TSi4 is (predictably) a similar or lower CG to the already very low TS3 and likely lower MOI as well. Matt said it was easier to hit than the TS4, but the TS4 was also a nightmare for him so that really isn't saying much. It is a low launch, low spin, unforgiving head by design. You can't have big spin reduction like that without lower MOI being a component, and unless they managed to drop the CG of the TSi4 insanely low while somehow maintaining a decently high MOI, this will be a niche product like predicted.

And also thanks. Some people fit that niche. That niche sounds F’ing awesome! I love the TSi3 but can’t get my spin under 2700. If I can get the TSi4 down to 2200 and it’s slightly less forgiving I’m in! Hell I still use my old school bag with a 975D and don’t hate the forgiveness of that so how bad can the TSi4 be, right?

It certainly will be the magic bullet for some people, and I imagine you can manipulate it somewhat by reducing the sole weight and replacing with hotmelt to tweak MOI or draw/fade bias. The stock weight appears to be 9g which you can drop to 3g, not a TON to work with, but enough to matter for some people.

One bit I find interesting from the product page:

Multi-Dimensional Stability

Players often equate “high MOI” with heel to toe forgiveness, but we employ a more holistic approach to MOI design. Our inertia also delivers more speed and a tighter spin range up and down the face, freeing you to attack every drive.

I'm not sure what this "holistic" approach actually entails, and that smacks of marketing fluff to me, but it seems to suggest a higher vertical MOI which in theory would stabilize spin numbers a bit and help with some of the stability issues inherent in the design. If I loved the shape then I might look into tweaking one of these, but i'm not a fan.

I hope it's right for you and you hit it well. But just from that video alone, the tsi4 is massively less forgiving than tsi3. Idk what video was being watched by others but the tsi4 was left and right. Tsi3 was tight. Tsi4 is also only 425cc.

I thought the same thing. Matt doesn't usually spray it to both sides.
