Not sure who is worse, Mogg or Clay Ballard.  Also the old guy with the accent.  Cant think of his silly sounding name.

I'm so dead at the next clinic.

Not the California accent, more European, or SA. 🤣

Clay Ballard comes off to me strictly as “how can I make the most money possible off of golfers”. It’s clear he is focused more on content than helping players get better

Sounds like Basil-jet?

That’s the one, he’s always popping up on my YouTube feed. Apparently he’s like 300-time PGA teacher of the year or something.

TOTALLY DISAGREE!

I rarely post, but I've looked at several online Golf training programs, and this one offers exceptional value and clarity.

If you pass on this program you are missing a great opportunity to improve your understanding of golf fundamentals and your game.

If you view these videos the last thing you're going to worry about is a refund.

Sorry for not being clearer.

I don't use social media and usually pass on posting an opinion.

However, in this case I didn't think the message was fair - so I spoke up.

I didn't think this would invite name-calling - guess I was wrong.

Don't worry, like most of the others who only sign up to post in defence of someone(yourself?) you probably won't post again.

In addition to the billing comments, it would be helpful to actually get feedback on the Power Loading Formula course itself. Does the course actually live up to the promised additional increased yardage by hitting no more than 40 balls? If so, that would be worth the $47 cost.

CAUTION: When you buy a course like this make sure you don't forget to cancel the "FREE 14 DAY TRIAL" or the $19.99 per month for the additional videos offered will be charged to your credit card. Wish they would allow the buyer to opt out of the "add on" videos/lessons right up front and simply purchase the item being offered.

I wanted to alert the members here to a bit of a bait-and-switch instruction offer that I fell for. Sharing it in the spirit of helping the WRX community.

You have probably seen the same ads I've seen for Brian Mogg's "Power Loading Formula" that promises good results for older players who have lost distance over time. These are ubiquitous on social media, at least on the feeds I follow.

I was curious so I clicked thru on an Instagram ad to learn more. What I ended up finding was a membership solicitation for Performance Golf Zone, which is a monthly subscription service of the type we've all seen, with an offer for a discount if you choose to pay annually.

As anyone would, I assumed that the content that had been teased on Instagram would be included in the membership for Performance Golf Zone. I decided to buy the annual membership and see what I could learn.

It turns out that the Brian Mogg content on his Power Loading System is not included in the annual membership that these ads are being used to sell. It only comes at an additional cost to people who pay for the subscription. The subscription itself only includes limited content that is very similar to what you can find on YouTube or Instagram any day of the week for free. None of it is anything special, certainly not worth what's being asked from subscribers. The content I actually wanted to see costs an additional $49 on top of the membership.

I requested and received a refund of my purchase (but not before an email begging me to stay). This offer is a bait-and-switch, straight up.

This experience made me appreciate the approach of people like Monte who offer their content at reasonable prices that give the purchaser lifetime access to their content.

Caveat emptor!

Can you let me know the email addy to ask for a refund? I stupidly bought this after a few drinks the other night!

Hi, folks. I googled to find out similar info about Brian Moog's offer, and totally right, one or more of you, that when I followed the peanut trail to the end, I decided not to buy in, as much as I really want to add yardage, at least to my drives. All of a sudden i am pursued by Performance golf. Yet i was only interested in the Moog promise of extra yards.

So is there a holy grail to the extra yardage for us older guys? I study the game intensely, improved my fundamentals ( I believe in the product Clay Ballard has, but you need to be young to swing like him. He does have reasonable fundamentals videos in his library, but I haven't renewed yet).

I am 64, play fairly well but can't get over 100 mph on my driver club-head speed last couple years (some health issues contribute to strength loss), but I know I lag the club sufficiently, etc. and finally invested in new driver technology (for the first time ever). The new club didn't get me more than a few extra yards, but a lot more forgiveness, I must admit. Just getting old, I guess.

The real secret is work out (with the right exercises), get stronger and you will get faster on club head speed just using solid fundamentals.
