What brand are you most averse to and why? ***No Politics***

Currently, I'd have to say TaylorMade.  I've tried there clubs and they just didn't work for me.

They made iconic iron sets for years and then came out with Fat Shaft technology. Ruined them for me also.  

 

I still cannot look at a set of Ping irons since Ping Zings.

 

For some reason, I have forgiven Cleveland Golf and their lapse in judgement with the VAS irons.

Right with you there.  I've been playing golf for 32 years and I've tried or gamed everything under the sun during that time from persimmon heads, steel heads, alien wedge, driver heads that would have materials that cracked the face purposely every time it was used, bubble shafts, Ping oversized irons, etc.  These days, anything that gives me the best numbers on trackman goes in the bag.

Never been a Taylormade guy. Tried a set of RAC irons, and an R5 as a kid and never really got them to work. Since then, I haven't been a fan of all the graphics and different colored heads. That being said, I'm really thinking about trying out the SIM fairway woods.

I'm the same on their irons. I've had a few TM woods over the years.  The R5 was oner of my top 5 drivers of all time.  But I've never got along with any of their irons.

Scotty Cameron... Every cat and dog carrying one on the course so doesn't feel that special anymore.

 

Plus adding 10g every year to stock weight and overall quality I personally feel have deteriorated.

Callaway. I know they make some good clubs and a bunch of guys on tour use them. 
 

However to me they have just always been these oversized monstrosities that are meant for 25 handicaps. All the ridiculous graphics and colors on their clubs don’t help either. And for some reason I can’t explain I also hate their logo.

I’ll never buy PXG because their ads turn me off. I can’t get along with Callaway and I’ve tried. Until the 425 Ping stuff has always looked bad to me.

I find ping irons soles too thick mostly... taylormade is ok but sound and feel it a little off to me sometimes... i played with titleist on vacation as a rental. The driver was ok a little odd feeling. The irons were terrible to my game the t300. I think titleist may be ok to me but no real intrest at all in looking into them. Callaway and mizuno is where in in love.

TM - I haven't had a club from them in my bag since the RBZ three wood.  I don't hate their stuff but I think I subconsciously hold a grudge because they took away Adams.  Still have two sets of MB2's I play from time to time. 

 

Also, Cameron putters.  I have one that I got in a trade.  Inspired by David Duval platinum.  Never use it.  Their old stuff was great.  Some of their new mallets are ok i guess but everything else, outside of the CT stuff, just seems like really overpriced crap to me.   I'm an asner style putter guy and would never buy a new scotty cameron newport.  A circle T for a normal price, I might be swayed.

From an equipment/function standpoint, I’d go with Ping. I don’t like the way the majority of their irons look (shape) and they all feel hard to me. Though, I know they perform. 
 

From a business model standpoint it’s Callaway. I think they are now what Taylormade was a few years back in that they oversell everything. I also am annoyed with what they’ve done with Ogio. I was an Ogio guy and their changes pushed me to Sun Mountain.

PXG. Awful and annoying commercials. Screws in the back of irons seem like a gimmick to me. Why not just add or take away metal inside the head of the iron for weighting like everyone else.
