They feel pretty similar to me.  I also got very similar numbers between the 2.   If you like the RDX it probably isn't worth the money to switch to a Ventus.   However this is WRX......

I game the Ventus Black and demoed the RDX Black at my local golf store.  VB has great feel to it for being a low/low shaft.  The RDX Black felt dead to me.  The owner was kind enough to let me swap the head out and do testing side by side.  VB launched 1 degree lower and was 300 rpm less on average than the RDX Black.

Ventus Black and Hzrdus Smoke Black are fairly similar in the 60 gram range. Just better materials in the Ventus. In the 70 and 80 gram range their profiles differentiate. Ventus becomes more "blue board" and Smoke Black becomes more "white board". In general, Ventus Black will have a stiffer handle and stiffer tip than Smoke Black.

This actually helps a lot! Did you notice any difference in dispersion between the two, since velocore is supposed to be magical?

Thus far I’m a fan of the RDX Black.  Stellar option for a lot of OEMs this season.

Not really.  Nothing substantial enough to make one stand out more than the other.

I figured! I have heard the ventus is somewhat smoother, but that’s all relative to the individual.

A lot more feel than RDX Black for sure.  For me if I can get a low/low shaft with feel, then that's just icing on the cake.

I’ll agree with that statement! If it’s smoother than the RDX, then I’ll probably get one. I just like that the RDX is a no up charge shaft with the drivers I am eyeing, but who am I kidding. We all know I’m going to get the ventus, because why not hahaha!

I think the RDX Black is smoother than the Ventus Black.  I’ve played the Ventus Black untipped in a SIM last year and there’s nothing blue board buttery smooth about it and I have a very quick transition.  I did not like the feel of the Ventus.

What about the Blue...does the profile differ between weights?  Looking for Ventus similar to Tensei CK Pro Orange but not counter balanced

I don't want to mislead you. The Ventus Black profile doesn't change a ton between weight classes, just becomes a little stiffer in the handle and more counterbalanced with added weight. Ventus Blue is similar. More counterbalanced with added weight. The Fujikura website does a great job of telling you how tip and butt stiffness compare between their shafts.

If you like Tensei Pro Orange, Ventus Black is the best comparison in the Ventus line but not a perfect match. I would be looking for a shaft that was more mid stiff. The Fuji Pro 2.0 TS or Motore X F1 with extra tipping would be a decent place to start, but both will feel more active than Tensei PO. I would be also take a look at LAGolf Trono. Very mid stiff and low balance point. Good profile match if you also like KBS Tour V or Modus 130.

Thanks. I used to be a Modus 125 x player but recently switched to Steelfiber i110 with huge success and Steelfiber 125 in wedges. My history with the Speeder 757 (white one from 2014) and a lot of success has me leaning Ventus Black 60x
