Ping Tensei orange shaft; any good?

I assume this is a “made for” shaft and curious what WRXers think of it. Quality or stay away?

No such thing as a bad shaft. Some shafts may not feel good to you or not designed for what you are looking for, but are perfect for someone else.

It appears to be real, but the the "realest" TX flex is not a stock option

 

Compare X to TX specs on MCA's site, TX raw orange is the only low/low raw orange, and the torque is much lower than the X

It’s not a “made for” shaft.  If you compare the weight and the torque numbers on Ping’s website to MRC’s website, you will find it identical.  
It’s a real deal shaft.  
 

What gets lost in translation is people thinking the “tensei orange” is “made for” because it isn’t the “tensei PRO ORANGE”. Two very different shafts. The normal Orange is a pool noodle for anyone swinging over 100mph.  I’ve hit it and can confess it goes left about two counties over with my quick transition. The pro orange couldn’t be more different , would likely go right if I could swing it right now.   
 

what has made perceptions worse recently is the greatest true “made for” shaft of all time, the non Velocore Ventus presented by TM

I tested it in the G425 lst in X flex and it was launching over 15 degrees and didn’t feel like an X so got me wondering.

Skip that shaft. In fact the Ping TOUR shaft is higher quality than all of the other free options.

Let's see if I can remember this properly.

 

Tensei CK Orange has 2 versions, neither of which is a "made for".

 

The PRO version has the braiding/weave all the way up to the grip. It also has the "K" the same color as the "C".

 

The "regular" CK has the "K" in orange and the weave/braiding does not go all the way to the grip.

If you’re talking about the new G425 line, the Tensei orange shaft they have stock is the AV Raw. Not a “made for” shaft. It’s the real deal.

Ping website states it is CK under g410 profile but AV under g425?

Not sure about the older offerings, but the 425 is definitely an av raw

I had good numbers with the Tensei CK Orange in X flex, but hated the feel. It felt dead to me

 

 i have a slow tempo and easy transition, with a swing speed of 112-114mph. I never fought the Tensei from going left or right. The numbers were almost Identical to my Aldila xtorsion copper 60TX, but it felt dead, no feeling of load or kick ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

 

 I sold it and went back to my Ping Tour 65x from my Ping G30 ls-tec, but I hit an Aldila Xtorsion Copper in X flex and liked it so I bought 2 Aldila Xtorsion Coppers one 60TX and one 70TX.... I sold the 70TX and bought another 60TX...... best feeling shaft I’ve ever hit, and it gives me optimum numbers as well. YMMV

 

The Ping Tour Shafts are great for stock offerings. I like them more than the Alta and Tensei stock offerings by a mile.

IMO the AV Tensei series (aluminum vapor wrap) feel much better than the CK series. I thought the CK Orange felt sluggish, not lively at all. AV Tensei Blue is one I like. I generally like the Mitsubishi shafts (Diamana forever) but the two I have not liked are the CK and the new MMT shafts (I think steel shafts feel better than the MMT iron shaft.) I also like their Adila lineup. 
 

I’ve always liked the Ping Tour shaft in the 65g range stiff. That shaft will surprise some in how stable it is.
