Butt soft iron shafts

Trying something in a back up set of srixons. Absolutely love the profile and performance of tour AD BB 7x and the AD XC which is the newer version. If I’m reading correctly both are butt soft stiff through mid section and tip. I’m trying to find iron shafts that would mimic this profile for the irons.
 

Had a retro fitting at true spec and the modus 120x felt great but I could get it going left a lot. Usually really comfortable in the 125g range maybe $ taper 125? Anyone try the 120TX soft stepped? Because I don’t put myself in the TX category for anything. I hit up to 93 in the fitting with 6 iron but I’d say on course it would be 88-90. Any info/constructive criticism would be appreciated

The modus really caught my attention i never gave it the time of day. Thinking about flattening lie angle to see if it would affect strike/turf interaction rather than trying to alter the flex any.

Modus 120 or dg s300/x100. Modus 125 could also be an option.

I’ve heard good things about the xp115 x100. Can be found at a steal as well.

Thanks for the reply. I tried the modus 125 for a short time period. Maybe 2 weeks. Was in a bad funk and actually sold my mbs because the confidence wasn’t there. Then come to find out the swing weights were c8! Might have to revisit with proper/functional swingweight

just got new wedges and put modus 120's in them, great feel and buttery but to flexy, lost 20+ yards....

I hit them very high but with mid spin. Could also trap them and lower flight very easy but found them very smooth/flexible as well. Probably just the Nippon feel but I might order just a single shaft and go up in flex to see. I just imagine the tx being a beast of a shaft haha

Modus 120 is very butt soft.  The butt end CPM is very low for that reason.  Much softer than Dynamic Gold.

Yes if I want to let this lovely feel stay might just have to smooth out the aggressive tempo haha. Compromisesss

If you have the money I'd try the X.  Worst case, pull them and sell.

that’s what I was hitting. That what I was trying to see how harsh/demanding the TX was even soft stepped to get around the 124 weight. Might just buy a single shaft of that. These can get expensive don’t want to make a $300+ mistake.

The Modus 120 might be too soft in the mid section for you.  It is certainly soft in the butt.

 

A better idea could be going down in flex, slightly with Dynamic Gold.  If you play 'X' in those wood shafts, you might try a DG in 'S' flex.  If you still want to feel a smidge more butt flex than that, try it soft-stepped.

 

If you want a lighter weight, go down in flex with Project X.  Try the 5.0,...which if you look at it's overall profile, is really like a butt soft, tip stiff, 'S' flex

I love to tinker so I wouldn’t mind trying all of that. Thanks for your insight
