G410 LST launch issue

I’ve got a g410 LST 10.5 with an Atmos Blue Tour Spec 6x and it’s a great driver but having trouble getting launch and spin down.  Usual numbers are 255 carry with 2600-2800 spin launching at 16-17*.  I know these figures aren’t optimal and with a 9* head they improve a bit but dispersion isn’t great.

 

Any shaft idea to help with this spin and launch issue?

Dynamic loft? Aoa? SS? Path?

I play a 9degree g410 lst with ventus black. Its def not the lowest spinning head. Have you tried -1.5°? Or tried Diamana D, DF/Tensei White, Accra TZ5, Fujikura Pro 2.0 Tour Spec or Ventus Black?

Shaft won’t help you there. Get a 9 degree head

I just got these numbers off of the simulators at the PGA superstore, they don’t have any of those specific path details unfortunately.

 

I’ll see if I can try the shafts but I’ve hit a few low launch shafts before but it’s been a while.  I think the 9* head will get me closer to the answer.  Thanks!

Google Pings Optimal Launch chart.  We don’t know your swing speed or carry distance  for the old club or the LST....but by looking at the chart, that spin rate looks good for a wide range of swing speeds.  
 

I think people think their spin should be lower than it really should be.  High spin would be closer to and over 3000.  Google the chart, it’s awesome.

More than likely the dynamic loft delivered is high  (hands too far behind the ball at impact).   I wouldn't expect much help by messing with shaft profile unless the current profile is a bad fit.   Shaft should be chosen for feel and consistency of the results, not launch and spin.

 

Some easy things to try before messing with the equipment is to play around with ball position and tee height.  Moving the ball back or lowering the tee height might encourage you to deliver the club with less dynamic loft.   And if you're trying to force a positive AoA, stop it 😉   To get the benefit of a positive AoA you need to be able to do it without also increasing the dynamic loft.   That's easier said than done for most ams.

 

However from the equipment standpoint, your best bets might be to play around with length and head weight.  Use the following self fitting tutorial.  All you need is some foot powder spray, some lead tape, and some range time.

Thanks for that, it was spot on!  Been working on getting that for wrist at impact and compressing the ball; with irons it’s been great but have been trying to force the positive angle of attack with has led the right hand to get flippy sometimes.  Went back to PGA SS this weekend to work on the simulator and with the driver was getting around 155 ball speed with 265-270 carry and 2200-2400 spin without swinging with any more effort, just more efficiently.  Curtis my I’d like to get on a Trackman soon and see some more details.

I would try the - and BIG - setting on the hosel, they helped me a lot, i play the same Ping G410 LST head as you do,
