PX vs DG shafts.

Hey there. 
  Currently looking into new set of T200’s. I have AP2’s with Project x 5.5 shafts. I’m looking for a lower ball flight on my lower irons. Will the DG s300’s give me this? Or are they both pretty much the same other then the weight difference.

 Depends on the player.  A shaft can provide different feels that influence how you swing.  What makes one person swing one way may have the opposite effect on another player.  The iron heads are going to be more responsible for the overall launch than a shaft change.  T200 in the long and mid irons and T100 would probably be a better solution

What do you see as lower irons?  I ask because some people think that's long irons, others short irons.

 

No - not the same.

 

I played PX 6.0 (120g) from 2006 to 2017 and PX 5.5 (115g) over 2019 (still have them) before switching to Steelfiber i110 "S" then to my current Tensei AV White AM "S" shafts. 

 

PX is IMO the best shaft, but I am bias cause it fits my swing mechanics.  For me the ball gets up quickly to height carries the distance then drops.   DGS300, gradually climbs over the distance to apex, then drops.  PX has a stiffer handle and tip, thanks to the shafts taper, as opposed to the heavier DGS300 (130g) softer handle and stiff tip.

To give the generic answer - for *most* people, DG will fly lower than PX, but you've got to hit them side by side to be sure.
