It’s been a while since I’ve shared what’s in my bag and I’m finally happy with my set up after almost a year of messing around with irons and wedges here’s my fun mixed bag 

Ping G410 Plus 9* Set to Flat Minus Weight set to Fade

It’s incredibly consistent for me. Probably my favorite club in the bag it launches high, I can curve it both ways and it looks great behind the ball

Definitely! It’s a definite winner it knocked out a 5 wood that had been in my bag for 6 years prior to that that I never thought I’d drop. The Nike VR Pro Limited edition with the same shaft. That’s why that BlueBoard is so beat up

What groups do you use? I’m actually trying to move a set of Cobra Forged TEC Black one length and having a slow time of it.

That’s a lot of tipping and lead tape lol! What is tour swing speed?  Guessing 115+, likely 120?

I had to go heavy on the tape to get the SW up from C9 due to them being a half inch short. I’m cruising around 124 and 184 ball speed but can chase it over 130 and 190 ball speed. I hate seeing the ball over hook so I tipped the heck out of the woods

I figured 120+ but that is quick. Love to see you hit a Ventus Black tipped 1 inch and see what you think.

I tried one I couldn’t time it up quite right I always seemed to get it off the low heel. The Hzrdus Hulk in the Ping is a combo that I can’t seem to beat at the moment it’s been in the bag over a year which is a feat in itself for me. I came close to beating it out with a TSI3 with a Tensei Pro orange 70TX but I still couldn’t get away from the random hook

There’s only a few other shafts that could be an option when you get bored with the Hulk lol.  Diamana DF 70TX and the Graphite Design Tour AD HD 70.  I’m a big believer in the Maltby shaft ratings and these two are anti hook but low launch.  An honourable mention goes to the original Hzrdus Black.  Back in the day my anti hook of choice was the Aldila RIP Phenom NL 60TX

My go to for the longest time was the OG V2 86 and 96x I also had great luck with the Tour AD M9003

Yes the Proforce V2’s are legendary, the latest version still being mid launching anti hook and dirt cheap!

Great looking bag!  How are you liking the putter?  I got the 7s with steel shaft and SuperStroke Pistol GTR 1.0 and I have been loving it just practicing indoors.  Can't wait to get out with it for the first round once it warms up here in the Northeast.

I’ve used it once so far I kinda just snagged it on a whim. It looks great and feels just like the old white hots so it’s a winner so far to me!

UPDATE 2022 

 

Driver Nothing has changed besides the settings a few times and 3 regrips, this is absolutely the best driver combination I have ever played 

 

Fairway woods are probably the most rotated clubs in my bag its hard finding fairway woods that play to how I want, it's been difficult finding clubs that work as a very high speed low launch low spin player and these old Ping G's spin plenty and I can Shape them both ways.

 

For the irons they're back to old Faithfull's of mine good old s56's, I loved my T100's but just wore them out enough that I was losing performance and Spin. Plus scanning over eBay and finding a set of used Pings in 2.5 Flat Purple dot and already 1/2" short being properly swing weighted I had to pull the trigger on them.

 

Wedges are fresh SM8's with new grinds I've never played besides the F, I adored my wedges before but these grinds have made my wedge game even more deadly than I thought was possible.

 

I went through a long putter fitting a couple of months ago and walked out with this absolute WEAPON. Ive been an off and on armlock player for 4 years but going through the proper fitting and getting the correct lie angle on this midlock has been the best investment that I've made in a long long time.

 

For the moment I've been carrying the Vessel G/Fore Sunday bag ( I have a bag problem with 6 sitting in the closet at home) It looks awesome is the perfect size but just wish it had 1 more divider like the Titleist Linksmaster bag.

 

And finally the Headcovers I had them designed up with my AM&E rep as a reminder and momento to my mom who is a current survivor and will be a life long battler of MoyaMoya disease, a super rare brain disease effecting all of the vessels that supply the brain. No one has ever heard of it as an education to anyone who asks what they are! And of course the FSU 3 wood cover (my wife is nearly a 3 time graduate so that’s a must)

It’s seriously the best combination I’ve ever played. And before this unicorn I had I believe 34 combinations of heads and shafts in a 2 year period since then I’ve tinkered twice and always fall back immediately to this. I’m going to be so lost if the head gives way…..

Dude sweet bag. Just shows the latest and greatest equipment is not always the best choice. My son plays the same irons and I play the S55 some of the best irons I have ever played.
