Last time something such as this was asked, some clown stated boldly, then defended his position that he used 3 prong plastic tees because they had less friction than full cup plastic or wooden tees thereby increasing his ballspeed.  Hoping we can get another such proposal this time as we still have a few weeks left of "internet silly season" before folks start playing more golf and less keyboard warrior...

Martini tees for driver, I’ve lost 3 in 3 years and 2 of them were this past fall due to all the leaves. But rest of the clubs it’s whatever is on the tee box or I have shorty plastic tees and normal wood tees too.

Last time I bought tees I decided to get the Maxfli ones at DSG. I have forgotten a couple so far, but they don't break.

Sometimes they bend when the ground is frozen, but I've figured it out. I might never buy tees again at this rate.

Plastic for sure.  I prefer getting the ones that are somewhat flexible since they bend when under stress but don't break.  Rigid ones are easily as breakable as wooden tees.  I bought 100 of those tees about 6 years ago and now have 80 left (because I can't find them after my tee shots).

Plastic. Doesn’t break as quickly.

Bingo.  As much as I love breaking every single wooden tee on almost every single tee and wasting money on bags of wooden tees at the golf store, I  prefer plastic for the same reason.

I’ve never tried plastic tees, but will give them a shot next bag of tees that I buy.

Definitely go through a ton of wood tees and they break on most tee shots with the Driver.

I am not ashamed to admit I use martini tees, they last forever. Use them mainly for my driver.

I used to use zero friction because I could use the 3 prongs to clean the grooves in my irons. I feel like they’re too short now for bigger headed drivers.  I’ve moved onto the Champ plastic.

For both - bright colors make them easy to find

Don't the prongs poke the shite out of your leg in the pant's pocket?

Second the martini tees.  They are indestructible.  Sounds weird, but I drilled a small hole in each and put a small metal wire (like a paperclip) through it, which sets the tee height.  You can also tie a fishing line to it, which has a washer on the other end.  Flying tee problem solved.

I guess I'm unique here but I can't remember the last time I bought tees. That said, I use whatever comes out of my bag & frankly don't give it a lot of thought. I doubt I can blame my #@$%& drives on my tees!

This week, the PGA Tour is at TPC San Antonio on the Oaks Course for the Valero Texas Open. GolfWRX was on-site Tuesday to catch a glimpse into the bags of some of the world’s top golfers.

The field of 144 is getting ready to battle starting Thursday for the $7.7 million purse, with $1.386 million going to the winner. The tournament is also the last event where players can qualify for The Masters, just like Canadian Corey Conners did last year.
