Sik Putters

Just got fitted for the SIK Sho at my local Club Champion. Pinned it up against my Special Select Scotty and while it didnt feel as soft it still felt great. I did notice on a few miss hits where I put the ball a bit too far forward in my stance that the face helped keep the ball rolling as it should. I put heavier weights in my Scotty so I am used to a little heavier head so that didnt stand out to me. I liked it enough over my Scotty that I ordered one, it should be here sometime in the next... few years?.. Love COVID... Cant wait to get it in the bag as it was giving me much better numbers than my Scotty!

What did you end up with? And I'm sure SIK is quicker than large OEM getting stuff out.

I was fit for the Sho c with a plumbers neck. Always worth getting fit as I had always thought I needed a face balanced putter until now. Turns out I need something with roughly 30 degrees of toe hang and this fit perfectly. It felt like it was just point and shoot once we dialed in my loft and lie. Cant wait to get it in, I was quoted 4-8 weeks but was told that Sik was faster than other OEMs so heres hoping that it is closer to 4 weeks!

Interesting, don't see too many people using the Sho so could be interesting to hear your thoughts on it.

I tried most of the other heads and this one just clicked with the alignment and look. Once it comes in I will update!

For sure gotta play the putter you roll the best and have the most confidence with. I have a Pro but thinking about buying another with a slant neck. I just like these putters.

Any updates 4ish weeks in?  I just got fitted Saturday and my impatience needs some hope.

My putter came in yesterday, only been able to roll it on my practice green but so far it feels awesome! Going to try to take it out tomorrow after work and cant wait. Will post an update if I can get out.

Tear Drop Putters were doing the same thing essentially decades ago.

 

Nothing new in this face concept. A whole lot of "spin" though!

The Pro, Flo and DW have been available in LH for about a year now.

Ordered myself a SIK DW with a custom long neck. It is true that the heads are quite heavy, but I requested a lighter head and they managed to get the Double Wide head with a long neck down to 370 grams- exactly what I asked for. in hindsight still a bit heavy so may inquire about getting it even lighter. Feels great; in my opinion the best feeling putter I've ever used.

I hate to bump an older topic.  Has anyone put a gravity grip on one of these?  Curious as to the feedback on this thought, tempted to take the plunge on a Pro w/ plumbers neck and GG.

I play GG on lots of my putters. 
 

should work real. Ice on these since the heads are so heavy and it will counter balance them. 
 

would be interesting to see the GG on a highly counter balanced shaft like an LA golf 135 with these 390g heads. 
 

any one game anything like this?

I play a Gravity grip on all of my putters.  At first it was getting them off of Ebay with EVNROLL on them, but you can get gravity grips from Dick's sporting goods now without the EVNROLL badging, the red and white ones are even on sale currently.

 

None of my heads are super heavy though, as a youngster I played a ping anser, ole 320ish grams.  Most heads now are heavier, I played Superstroke counter-core grips for awhile with the SAW weight system from Sense(plastic strip that runs the length of the grip with multiple weights you can move up and down).  The plain big butt weight from Superstroke didn't work great for me.  However I randomly tried an EVNRoll with a Gravity Grip and was like, whoah, this is similar to the SAW with the weight not just at the top and a little thicker front to back and was hooked.
