Not with the seller in the Ebay ad for these irons. They sell tons of TM overstock and are a very respected Ebay seller.

So a typo means a club is fake? The seller of these irons is a huge seller of TM overstock product and many TM tour issue clubs as well. BTW if you read the fine print the ad is for the 2017 version of the P790's not the 2019 version. Real.

I would normally agree with you, however there are sellers on ebay that try to offload excess inventory at a significant discount.  I got my Miura 60* bent to 58 for 150 about 9 years ago brand new off ebay from a seller with a stellar reputation and it's authentic and Will Peoples(not the seller) verified it was 100% legit.  I believe they were going for over 200 bucks at the time.

That's what I'm saying. Either he is selling legit stuff, or he is bold as hell for having a truck load of counterfeit gear with 47k feedback.

 

If it was fake, TM might have shut him down 46k ago.

Looks legit to me.  The seller even offers returns within 30 days.  Not to mention, Ebay has Great buyer protection if something was wrong.

That seller is well know as a TM outlet.  Not fake.  And with more than 47k feedbacks on ebay with 99.4% positive, that should be obvious.

Are you getting support with your purchase? Not likely. But you are likely going to save a buck. But I also haven't checked what these go for from a "legit retailer".

Well I stand corrected.  Did not realize TaylorMade had authorized online and eBay retailers.  Makes sense as they are selling older model merchandise.

 

My prior experience with new golf equipment being sold on eBay for below retail has been with phony merchandise.

I use PayPal with eBay and will always get my money back so I guess I get bold with my ebay purchases.

You also have to look at what the set consists of.  In this case it looks like it is only 6-AW and he never really says if they are new V1 or V2.

I also think they are Gen 1 P790, hence the reduced price. In the gen 2, the weight port is on the "P790" banner at the toe, vs these photos. Clearly Gen 1.

As @Nessism and @grm24 pointed out, they have long been selling TM overstock/excess inventory for good prices. I have purchased several times from them and have always had a good experience, including some extremely good deals.
