Does anyone here remember the guy who wanted to get his tour card with 10K hours of dedicated practice? He documented his journey at thedanplan.com .

 

Needless to say he didn't even come close for a variety of reasons. Not the least of which is he had never demonstrated any level of elite athletic ability.

 

Manziel was an elite athlete so he's at least got that going for him. Based on past history he doesn't have the work ethic or discipline to hone those skills to tour level, assuming football skills actually transfer to golf, but maybe he's turned over a new leaf.

I have alternative take. Good for him. Am I going to hold my breath? No. But Just like Tebow trying to crack MLB, I'm all in favor of somebody trying to cross sports. He may John Daly his way out of it but it gives him something to focus on and I think thats something he needs in his life. 

 

2nd take, if the Foreplay Pod/Barstool guys can land a Taylormade sponsorship with their following, I'm sure theres already manufacturers and coaches swinging onto his bandwagon to "help" him.
