you are right. That would be the better approach business wise.

Bought the first 3D putter release out of curiosity, would be great to purchase another one with slightly fair price  🙂

If I'm SiK, I wouldn't do that.   If Cobra wants an exclusive I'd tell them they need to buy the company.   That patent essentially IS the company at this point.

 

What I suspect has happened here is SiK has granted them a license with restrictions - for use in 3D printed putters for example.

I bought the Supersport-35 on a whim because I thought the 3D printing tech was cool. I really liked the feel of the face and the extra weight, but coming from face-balanced mallets I just wasn’t as consistent. I will definitely consider picking this up on release.

I think the tech behind this is awesome. Not a fan of the looks of their limited release blade or this mallet, but the concept is here to stay.
