Footjoy Tour X

Noticed there hasn’t been a lot of love online for the Tour X, anyone have opinions why? In the market for a black spiked shoe and this one seems to check the boxes. Lightweight, waterproof and stable. Typical go for the Dryjoys or Icon Black but see they are being phased out. What do those who wear them think?

Love mine that I've worn for over a year. This is the regular lace model. Fairly comfortable out of the box, minimal break-in needed. Moderate arch support, comes in various widths, so almost any foot can find a good fit. I've used riding, pushing, and carrying. Dry, wet, and soft conditions are equally good since it's a spiked sole. Waterproofing still good. As with all leather shoes, cleaning after use and wooden trees has kept them in good shape. Occasional polish and conditioning, still look new.

I've had mine about a year, and love them. They are the most comfortable walking shoe I own.

Just ordered new spikes for them today ... time to get some new traction!

I’ve been wearing mine for about 8-9 months. I’ll echo what everyone else has said and add that they are very stable. Great shoe!

Have the white/red pair on rotation. Very comfortable shoe for walking. I usually carry when I play. Laces seem to loosen up so I have to tie my shoes about 2-3 times a round of 18, or double knot.

I often see people saying they're ugly, are they ugly? I don't think so, I think there are a lot worse out there within FootJoy and other brands as well. Is it how the spikes are placed? People say it's distracting but are they looking at their feet or ball when playing? 

 

Regardless the reviews I see are all super positive and I have a pair of the white and red ones on the way.

I have wide feet and find them super comfortable. New pair ofTour X, sitting in the box waiting for prime time golf.. Tour S, are my dirty day shoes, 😄

I ordered them without trying them on. Curious how they run size wise? I pretty much wear an 11.5W in everything. I have the ProS/L and they're kinda loose but I think that's more the cut of the shoe.

They fit bang on for me in W. The only issue I have are with the Achilles support. It seems to pinch in that spot so I need to bend them back and forth a bit so they get worked in. 😄

And as mentioned, a very stable shoe.. Because of my wide feet I was wearing Ecco for the awhile, but they would often "slip" during transition and that simply doesn't happen with the FJ's.

The Achilles issues was a huge issue for me with the Adidas Tour360s but they wouldn't stretch or break in just tear up my heels. But the TourX uses better leather. 

 

And the stability is what I'm looking for, I slip when wearing spike less unless the course is bone dry. These seem like they will be my #1, just wish they weren't so expensive up in Canada.

Yeah right, so dam pricey!... lockdown was a blessing in that sense... I didn't have any opportunity to spend elsewhere. 😄

And agreed on the adidas.. They truly don't fit me at all. lol

I know I got mine on eBay and saved a few bucks and that's true my bank account looks normal for once.

I think they are fantastic.  I have 2 pair.  The Black and the White ones.  Both pairs the first day I wore them I played 36 (riding).  No issues at all.
