Rapsodo MLM vs Flightscope Mevo launch monitor

Recommended Posts

Wondering if anyone had experience with these portable launch monitors? I am leaning towards the Mevo but reviews of both are great so I am torn. Appreciate any insight given.

Thanks.

I just purchased a new Rapsodo MLM launch monitor.   I'm having lots of problems both with registration and use of the device.   Am waiting for a reply from Rapsodo Support having sent several messages asking for help.   NOTHING heard as yet.   I'm very close to just calling my credit card company and denying the charge.  Maybe then I'll hear from someone at Rapsodo who can help.  Very frustrated!!

Suggest that before anyone buys a Rapsodo launch monitor that they read all the reviews they can find about this product.   AFTER I purchased mine I started seeing reviews expressing frustration with both setting up and using the device.  I've been trying to get help from Rapsodo Support and so far they have not responded to my requests.  Be very wary folks!

+1

I had some initial setup issues that CS was TERRIBLE about helping me with. I ultimately figured it out myself.

The device works for me about 90% of the time and I find it very useful but their CS leaves a lot to be desired.

I was comparing the same two devices and chose Mevo.  Very happy so far and it works well for my use.  Seems accurate for both net and range.  Ball speed seems to be spot on and carry seems pretty good.  Club head speed is a bit all over the map, but carry seems tied to ball speed which is good.  Spin is pretty good considering the price of the unit, but it is not a trackman so don’t expect it too much.

Works very well and is accurate if you are a good ball striker.  Seems to get less accurate the more you spray it and don’t make solid contact.  Doesn’t show dispersion and the weird readings usually come from bad strikes or wild dispersion.  Perfect for my use as I wanted it to dial in distances mainly with wedges and short irons.  Has been better than expected and is super easy to use and set up.  Video feature is cool as well.

Cant comment on the Rapsodo unit.

I wanted to go with the Mevo but the fact that it doesn't read lateral distance was a deal breaker.  I'm surprised that more people aren't bothered by that.  For me, being able to go back and look at my session and see dispersion and whether I'm pulling/pushing and or slicing/drawing is important.  I have a Rapsodo on delivery so I'm looking forward to giving it a go.
