BST Problem. Any feedback appreciated

So last week I listed my TSi3 head in the BST. Head was mint, provided detailed pics. Today I get a pic from the buyer saying he received it and there is a “noticeable nick on the crown”. Wants me to make it right. Wants a full refund or partial payment back. I know the head was nick free when I sent it. If there is now a nick why would I give a full refund and take it back? I have 100% feedback on eBay and typically get feedback that my items are better than described. Here is the pick from the listing and the pic he sent me of this nick. He says he’s opening up a PayPal grievance against me now. Ugh

So he’s already opened the dispute and the email from PayPal says due to consumer protection laws they can’t guarantee I’ll get my merchandise back if they decide in favor of him! So I could be out the money from the sale and my head?! Wow. Kinda feel like I’m being scammed. 😩 I know the head was perfect and the pics I provided back this up. Another member here even posted in my BST thread how great my pics were! Appears as though the buyer has all the leverage. Sad

That "nick" was clearly not in the listing picture. It also appears to be the size of a speck of dust. Is that on the crown? 3 things happened, either it got nicked up while/before boxing up, during shipping or opening/after opening it up. Either way it is so minimal that I think the buyer is insanely high maintenance and I'd rather not deal with someone like that. Have him ship it back and issue refund. Is it a new or established member? Either way you need to invite the buyer to the thread.

Can we assume that the user that posted in your BST ad purchased? Given his post history he's a Titleist guy. Invite him here and have him present more pictures. Based on the picture he sent - that ding could be on any gloss black driver as we can't tell where on the head or if it's the correct head since it's so close up/zoomed in.

Thanks to all that replied. I honestly could have sold that head as new. I couldn’t agree more with all that’s been said. I feel he had buyers remorse and wanted a way out or inadvertently nicked it removing it from the HC or unpacking it. Unbelievable

In the PayPal claim i stated the head was mint with no visible nicks when it went in the box and included all the pics from the listing. Hoping they find in my favor and I can wash my hands of it.

Yes! The nick is clearly not in the listing. I told him that and he said you probably just couldn’t see it because of the lighting. Not true. After the pics that head went right into the HC and was packed.

Refund, get the head back, sell again on BST to someone less dramatic. Block buyer and don’t sell to him again.

Initially exactly what I was gonna do, but thought what if he did nick it and now my mint driver is nicked and it’s not worth what it was?

Thank you for adding me to this discussion.  Not once have I accused the seller of misleading me in any way.  I simply stated in my original message to him that after receiving the driver head, I inspected it  immediately and saw the nick on top of the crown.  I know it is a nick because I can feel it when i run my finger over it.  I can send more pictures and even a video if needed.  The head was put in the headcover without bubble wrap and placed in the box with air pillows.  

 

I am not trying to scam any one and if it is ruled in my favor I will send the head back.  I don't have buyer's remorse and have been looking for a 9* head for a while.  I have several WTB posts looking for one in New or Like new condition.  Whether it's me being picky or "high maintenance" is irrelevant to what I believed to be purchased vs what I received.  I have been in this form for 10 years and have many transactions as recently as last week.

Put in HC without bubble wrap. The HC isn’t sufficient to prevent nicks?! Especially with the crown facing the inside of the box. Come on. Head went in mint and arrived mint. Don’t know what happened after that. No way you noticed that nick as soon as you unpacked it. I’m VERY particular with my stuff and I would def have seen it if it was that obvious

Why is automatically assumed that it was me that nicked it.  I was never accusatory and simply messaged the seller immediately after i opened the box.  How do we know that the nick didn't happen after the picture was taken?

I 100% know I did not nick it.  Opened it up, pulled it out of the head cover and the nick was there.

Going around in circles here. Whatever that speck is on the head or how it got there will remain a mystery.

I have been a member of this forum for a long time and have been buying and selling for a long time.  I have 100% positive feedback before the feedback system went away after the site update.  I can tag the people from all  my transactions in the past few months if needed.

All I know is it wasn’t there when I sent it. You have 10 years on the forums and a 7 reputation score. I have over 300 In a few months and still have a perfect 100% feedback on eBay. There ya go!

Just because I am not posting and commenting on threads 24/7 doesn't make me a bad member.  I also have 100% feedback on eBay with over 160 transactions.

that nick appears to be so small, if you really want that head then you should be able to play it as is. Maybe a $10 refund from the seller?

 

otherwise buy a NEW head from a retailer that you can take home that day. A small imperfection can always happen during shipping.
