I can assure you the crown was mint when it went in the HC. With the head all the way in the HC without a shaft you have to really reach in there to get it out. Perhaps the buyer inadvertently marred it pulling it out. A ring or something??? I’m at a loss at this point. I do know at this point I could have gotten $800 for it and it wouldn’t have been worth it.

that nick appears to be so small, if you really want that head then you should be able to play it as is. Maybe a $10 refund from the seller?

 

otherwise buy a NEW head from a retailer that you can take home that day. A small imperfection can always happen during shipping. 

The listing stated it was in absolute mint condition.  I bought the head thinking that was what I was getting.  I didn't think i would be getting a new head.  With the nick being on the top of the crown, it is visible at address.  If there was an ad with this imperfection listed, I would not have purchased.

 

I offered the work something out with the seller in the PM's but he was adamant that it was not there when he got it so it wasn't going anywhere.  That's why I went through PayPal.

You can see that at address?! Wow. It looks like a speck of dust with the 5x zoom you used! I don’t like to say it’s not visible at address Bcs it implies the nick was there when I sold it and im saying deal with it. Not the case

Why would I “work something out” when I know head was mint?!

post more pictures of the head please. Preferably outdoors in the shade with good lighting.

 

what was your offer to work something out? 
 

if I was the seller I might offer a small partial refund just to be done with it.

 

if I was the buyer and I really wanted this club and I felt I got a good price, I would gladly keep it and play it

If you’re staring at a speck that small on a certain spot on the driver while at address, you’re doing it wrong.

Fair enough, but to understand both sides of the deal need to see the better pics.  For example, if the flaw is so infinitely small as to be 'insignificant' (obviously not insignificant to the buyer) then it would fall under the 'risk of buying a used club' category in my opinion.  In other words, if you're that picky then you should buy a new head (as another poster similarly replied above).

Was the shipping box damaged in any way?

 

Can th Nick be seen at address maybe 7' from the players eye?

 

It speed to be 1mmx2mm. Is this really worth the trouble? It's gonna  nick like that during play in and out of the bag.

 

Offer buyer $50 to keep, or have it sent back.  Then till need to go after the shipper assuming it was insured.

Head was shipped in the HC with the crown towards the inside of the box. Between the crown side of the head and the box I placed a shipping “air bag” like the ones Amazon uses. If this happened during shipping the HC and air bag would be damaged as well.

As far as any pictures are concerned. Regardless I’m saying the head was shipped mint, and your saying it came marred. So it’s sort of inconsequential at this point. But like others have said, if you can see the speck from the picture you already sent me over the ball at address, God bless you!

The head now appears to have small surface scratches that I know weren’t there. Did you attempt to polish it???

I am posting pictures as requested because I don’t want a reputation as someone who is deceitful or a scammer. If people think I’m picky then so be it. I know I’m not the only one in this forum that is anal retentive about their equipment.  I also never accused you of lying to me either. I tried to work with you in the PMs but you were adamant that it was 100% mint and there’s not other possible way anything else could have happened. I know what I received in the mail and I know I didn’t do anything that could have caused the nick just like you are claiming it was 100% mint.

Again, I bet my life that wasn’t there when I shipped it. It comes down to my word vs. yours and nobody here knows us. I’m sure I’ll end up getting screwed and probably getting the head back with a mark that wasn’t there when I sold it. And you’ll get ur $ back. Sucks

No I did not attempt to polish it. Again, here you are accusing me when not once have I accused you. Those surface scratches are inevitable from being pull in and out of the head cover. I know that and have never claimed that to be an issue. The issue is the nick that is on top of the crown.

I asked for a refund or at the very least some money back. But the seller was adamant the nick was not there so it stopped at that. Didn’t even entertain either.

I asked, didn’t accuse. Like I said. Looks like I’ll get the short end of the stick on this one. You’ll get ur $ and I’ll get a head with a mark on it that wasn’t there when I sold it. Oh well, sucks for me. I shoulda just kept it! Haha.

As far as accusing you. All I know is I’m 100%  certain there were zero marks on that head when I sold it, no way that happened during shipping or there would be obvious damage to the box, air pillow and HC. So that only leaves one plausible scenario in my opinion. Sorry.

And I am 100% certain that mark was there the moment I pulled it out of the head cover and i did not do anything to make that mark... with you saying there is only one plausible scenario is not realistic.  How do we know this didnt happen after the picture was taken?  I can easily take a picture at a certain angle where you won't be able to see the nick.  Did that happen?  Who knows.  What I know for sure is that it was there when I got it and I didn't cause the mark.

How do I know it didn’t happen after the picture?! Because like I’ve said a few times, it went directly into the head cover and was never touched by me again after that! Like saying, how do we really know what happened to it after you received it? I know what happened on my end, and only you know what happened on your end. Case closed. What is certain is odds are PayPal will give you a full refund because it seems to me the buyer has the power and I’ll get back a head that has a mark on it that wasn’t there when I sold it. Again, sucks for me.

@jonkevin in my earlier post I stated that “nick” could have happened at any point, boxing it up, in transit, or unboxing it. Both of you claim neither of you did it. I believe both of you. Sometimes stuff happens unbeknownst to us. 
 

In reference to the term that I used, high maintenance, I have a question for you. To me that “nick” is less than the size of sharpened pencil tip, or heck, even the point of a sewing needle. Can you even see that “nick” at address?? If you can’t then yes, you are being very high maintenance, picky, or whatever word you want to use.

At certain angles, yes i can see it at address.  To some people, it may not matter but to others like myself, it does.
