Is TGW a legit online business?

I've always ordered from Golf Galaxy/Dick's and Golfworks, but since GG didn't have the Vokey wedges I wanted in stock, I decided to give TGW a try. I placed my order last weekend for multiple "in stock" items and the order is still showing as "in process". I have not dealt with a legitimate online retailer who sits on "in stock" items this long without shipping. To make matters worse, this is now the message I receive when checking on status.

Rest assured, TGW is legit.  They're a huge golf retailer.  I've purchased lots of stuff from TGW over the years without issue.  My experience with their customer service has been really positive, too.

Haven’t bought from them in a little bit but I used to order from them all the time.  They were always great too. But again it’s been a little whilem so maybe things are different now. But they are a legit company.

I’ve ordered stuff from them within the last couple weeks and have never had an issue. I’d give them a call they’re usually very helpful. Looks like you may have just caught them at the wrong time doing some updating to their website. May have delayed their order processing as well.

Yes. They've been in business on-line since 1998. I think that qualifies them as a legitimate business. From time to time a business way have an issue with their ordering systems. They also sell on Ebay.

They're legit, but their website is not optimal and their customer service is weak.

 

I remember Sim hybrid Tour AD fiasco. They lost $250 per club sold. lol

Yes they are legit, and I've bought a number of things from them over the years without issues. However, the past few weeks it seems like they've really been struggling.

 

My most recent order took almost 3 weeks to arrive even though I paid for express shipping. I've tried contacting their customer service 4 times in the last 2 weeks to try and get that shipping charge refunded and have still yet to receive a response from them...

Yep. Same thing happened to me. When they want to not honor your request,  they just ignore you. Lol

TGW is probably one of the 1st On-Line golf businesses and they have always done right by me.

They are but standard shipping is awful.

 

I ordered this past Monday.  Called them today they said it should ship on the 8th.

 

Why wait a week? It's an in stock item of shoes.

TGW = The Golf Warehouse. They have been around online for a long time.. it's almost a Walmart of golf... have a lot of stuff.. pretty decent but not the best of anything. You can catch good deals from time to time. Their website, inventory management and shipping definitely leave you frustrated at times as well.

You could not be more right.

 

Ordered Monday, waited and waited for shipping info. Called Thursday, told they'd ship this coming Monday (8th).  Just checked, they cancelled the order, after 5 days. Have not received any notice as to why.

 

Not how I'd run a business.

 

Will need to think long and hard next time.

I see a lot of retailers with delays in shipping these days.. not just tgw

Delays in shipping are caused by weather, at this time. They have not shipped as in packed and sent the item.  But that really was  not the main point, it was that they cancelled the order after 5-6 days without any message to me, if I had not checked status I'd stl be waiting.

I haven't ordered from tgw in awhile, but I still go to the website a lot as they often use in hand photos and even make their own videos of items.

who is the best online retailer?? I noticed TGW doesnt have many partners and you can only order "stock" items from most manufacturers and no "custom" items......

I am now having issues with a second package in a row from TGW.  The last one I paid for 2nd day air and the package sat in Memphis for 4 days and took 3 phone calls to FedEx to get it moving.  I figured that is not the fault of TGW.  I made an order on 4/18 and didn't pay for the second day air since it seemed like a waste of $$ after the last package.  The package did not ship until 4/22 and today it is still in Kansas (where it originated) and I live in PA.  I've called FedEx 3 times and all I get from them is double talk and TGW takes no responsibility for it.  So pissed about it.

Their customer service is some of the worst I've ever experienced. Same thing happened to me a few months back. Paid for 2nd day shipping and the package took almost 2 weeks to get to me. It took me 4 phone calls and 3 emails to TGW over a span of 3 weeks before I finally got someone to refund my shipping charge.

A few words of advice for you.  STOP ordering from TGW.  Problem solved.

Package is still sitting in the same spot in Kansas.  TGW unwilling to do anything at all until 5/4.

TGW was where I bought my golf shoes from (via their eBay store) in the early 2000's.
