Circle T Tour Platinum. Made By Scott Cameron?

Recommended Posts

Any idea if Scott Cameron made this tour stick?

7 point crown handstamped on the back? I was told that meant it took him 7 days to make it by a few sources?

I never seen a Tour Platinum with 009 characteristics like this before. Any clue to the modern value? It has a gigantic topline (super thick)

Thanks my friends!

Umm , is that a legit COA in the background?

Online COA: https://www.scottycameron.com/authentication/registry/Details.aspx?rn=A030776   It's a Mid Sur, not a Newport or 009, which means it was probably a mid length putter at one point

I cannot remember anymore if the 7 point crown indicates stamped by SC or not, but even if it did IMO that doesn't lend the value to this putter to be along the lines of something like a 009. The dema

Yes it has the coa and is authentic. I just don't know what to make of this putter. I know the value can vary on these. What do you think?

I think I'll give you $250 for it right now 😉

Probably going to take a pretty good aficionado to be able to determine. Might want to reach out to Scotty's shop.

It's a Mid Sur, not a Newport or 009, which means it was probably a mid length putter at one point. Likely a 370G head so it'll probably play pretty heavy at normal length.

The reason the topline is so think is because it is a Mid Sur as stated above.  This is how they add the extra weight in the head for the longer putter length.  The blade length is also slightly longer.  In my opinion this model is not very desirable, and shouldnt fetch anywhere near the price of a 009.

My question was mainly if a 7 point handstamped crown on a very early 2000's model like this indicate made by Scott Cameron himself.

I think it could be worth equivalent to a 009 with the correct provenance.

No, this was a regular stamping on this model. Only relevant on the older hand mades  for the stamp. Like others said, less desirable head, but the market is hot now. 2019 it would have been 1,000-1,200. Today, I’d throw it on eBay for $2,500 and you will have offers around 2k within a day. $1,800 009s are now going for 3-4K. I’ve sold all mine but a few just because I can only use one at a time. Tried to sell a Tour Rat here a few months back for around 3k. No offers. Gone on EBay in a week for $3,500. Killed in fees on EBay but the reach is so much bigger there that I get much higher prices there.

The demand for this model just isn't there to bump it up that far IMO. But I could be wrong, seen plenty of things in the course of this market the past 6-9 months that have completely befuddled me.

This week, the PGA Tour is at TPC San Antonio on the Oaks Course for the Valero Texas Open. GolfWRX was on-site Tuesday to catch a glimpse into the bags of some of the world’s top golfers.

The field of 144 is getting ready to battle starting Thursday for the $7.7 million purse, with $1.386 million going to the winner. The tournament is also the last event where players can qualify for The Masters, just like Canadian Corey Conners did last year.
