What forged player cavity irons have a leading edge grind?

Recommended Posts

Love the look of the Miura TC201's and a little bit out of my budget right now.  What other forger player cavities have the nice leading edge grind like the TC201's or older Scratch Don White grinds?  Turf interaction plays such an important part of my scoring ability as i play a mixture of turf conditions.

Thanks

The various Srixons that use the V sole

Hard to get a picture that shows it well, but my Honma TW-747v's have a nice leading edge grind.

Ben Hogan PTx Pro (red), Sub 70 639CB (black 6), and New Level 902 (7).

Interested to see some other options. I play p760s now but also played VPC before.

T100/s, AP2, 620cb, P760, vapor pro combo

Tiger mg2 wedges

A hand full of other Nike clubs had the leading edge grind but they weren't forged player cavity. Covert forged were more game improvement forged cavity.

It's only Honma's weird gold plated stuff that is expensive. Everything else, at retail, is comparable to any major brand.  If you watch the 'bay, you can get some smoking deals. I paid $425 for my set brand new last summer

Oh damn, I should have shopped. They are always flooding my Facebook feed with $2500 sets. I just looked and these are only $550, damn.

Refresh my memory what this grind helps with please... thanks in advance snd apologies for a short hijack

It’s generally good for shallow swings that bottom out very close to the ball because it gives just a bit more time before the club enters the turf.

This week, the PGA Tour is at TPC San Antonio on the Oaks Course for the Valero Texas Open. GolfWRX was on-site Tuesday to catch a glimpse into the bags of some of the world’s top golfers.

The field of 144 is getting ready to battle starting Thursday for the $7.7 million purse, with $1.386 million going to the winner. The tournament is also the last event where players can qualify for The Masters, just like Canadian Corey Conners did last year.
