eBay Return - am I defenseless?

As the buyer of this putter and the subject of this post I will have this one post and if you still believe this dude after this than that is on you. I have sold and bought hundreds of items over the years and have personally never had a negative review. My brother use to sell periodically on my account but when I found out he had received a few negative reviews I shut that down.  I go above and beyond to make sure people are happy. So here is some food for thought, because I buy and sell a ton would it make sense for me to ask for my first ever return in some wild scheme to get back $182??? No that makes no sense. If the putter came with no dent on the face and I didn't like it I would have just turned around and sold it. The fact that it did come with a dent on the face regardless of what he says, means I can't resell it. Again, I have bought hundreds of clubs, often not in as good of shape as expected but that comes with the territory of used clubs, and now all of the sudden I am trying to pull one over on him? Makes no sense. Let me also let yall know that this dude has looked me up and sent me messages about what I do for a living and what I use to do.  He is doing research on me personally over a damn putter??  That's downright creepy. Trust who yall want but my history speaks for itself and the fact that this dude has gone this far over this is extremely weird.

You posted in your current listing a fairway wood that has been clearly hit with grass stains on the bottom but you are claiming it as "new never hit" LOL

After 11 trouble free years of selling things on EBay, with a perfect selling record, they took the side of someone that had a) put a crack in a camera body that wasn't there before and b) claimed that there was rust on the shutter, when you couldn't see the shutter because the camera back didn't open up.

Ebay doesnt give a crap about sellers TBH - they will side with buyers 100% of the time.

 

I sold an older SIM driver head in December on a Sunday morning. I already had it boxed up so I put the label on it, dropped it off about 10 minutes later. That night, the buyer decides he doesnt want it and wants to return it. I say sorry man, I dont take returns and never have - as stated in my listings. Back and forth, back and forth. He asks three times through Ebay for a refund, which I turn down - I mean the guy hasnt even gotten the item yet. Within an hour of getting it though, he files a claim with ebay, item not as described, does not work with the shaft he wanted. Which is total BS, he had a number of other TM clubs listed so he knows exactly what works with what. But ebay completely takes his side, no chance to offer any rebuttal.

So your eBay account is not “perfect” and you have received negative feedback. What is with this rash of deadbeat “brothers” constantly messing with golf club transactions? You guys Oregon Ducks fans by chance?

 

Here is the point: The putter did not have a dent in the face when it is was photographed for the for sale ad. We know, for a fact, that it happened sometime between then and now. Therefore it was either damaged by the seller before that packaging, the carrier or you. In that equation we know that you (or your brother) have had previous issues with deceptive practices (4 negative, 2 neutral). We also know that your “new” club was not factually new. I also don’t know how “dirt” would transfer from a “putting mat” to a club so I can only surmise that you are being deceptive about that, as well. Given the totality of the circumstances, I do not believe your story. 
 

Is it so odd that someone looked at your employer, etc? Unfortunately, your (or your brothers) previous practices would make me question your authenticity also.

Yeah you are right. Over 500 reviews. 4 negative of which 2 were removing items from ebay during an auction, 1 was on a $100 putter that someone said was more used than they expected, and the other was on a $50 driver... yeah trust 4 negative reviews and this dude over the other 500 people...  smart.

So we’re the negatives yours or your brothers? You seem to have very intimate knowledge of the transactions and be passionate about defending them if they weren’t yours. 
Also, I am still waiting to hear about your putting mat setup. I have both a Birdie Ball and Pro Putt but am very interested in you real grass/dirt mat. Sounds interesting, please elaborate.

This isn't worth my time and neither is looking up my reviews but when you stated I had 4 negative reviews I looked them up. That was not dirt it was shaft trimmings and green material from the putting mat. Don't worry though it's sold and that person will get a brand new sim2 for a great price. Be realistic. Look at my history and stop wasting your time believing this dude. Literally the first time I have ever tried to return something and I'm the fraud?? If that makes sense to you then I'm the pope.

I asked the seller this already but to the buyer how did the putter arrive? Was it well packaged? Box show any damage? In your opinion could it have been damaged in transit?

 

Both seem to blame each other but maybe it happened in shipping?

You don’t have to get mad because I simply typed your name in Google. And why are there two different usernames claiming they bought the putter? Yeah I was petty looking you up, but you’re the one who told me to get a life and a job, both which I have. You edited your listing and literally put the story about the putter in there, which has nothing to do with the 3w you are trying to sell. You are trying so desperately hard to save face that it looks bad at this point.

I do it sometimes. I work long hrs. I come home and eat something and go to bed. The last thing I want to do is get a not as described item and have to deal with it when I don't have time or feel like it.. I open my packages when I can enjoy the moment or deal with the disapointment. 

 

I bought some fairways a few weeks ago. They were new so that helped but I didn't open them for 3 days after delivery.

Here is what I will do. This is not about money, but principal at this point. If he will admit that he sent the putter with the dent I will drop the dispute and he can keep the whopping $182. I am a man of my word if he can admit that he sent it with the dent he can keep the money and I will use this damn thing as a paper weight.

How about YOU admit you damaged the putter, drop your dispute and let him keep the $182 that he rightfully (in my mind) sold it to you for?

PS, I’m still waiting for you to explain the “dirt from the putting mat” (yes, those are quotes from YOU) that have somehow changed into shaft trimmings... You’re a unique fellow. I also repair and build clubs but would never do that over my putting mat in an office. Strange. 
And one more thing, what’s with the two different WRX accounts claiming you’re the buyer? Is one a burner you use to hose people? Explain that please.

Why would I knowingly send you a damaged putter after listing pictures with it in good shape? Did you think I was just gonna hope you would eat the $182 and not return it? This makes no sense. EVERYONE knows you can return stuff on eBay. I’ve never had anything returned to me before this happened. I took the pictures, threw the headcover on, and boxed it up with plenty of packaging so it would just need a label after being sold.  So tell me where in my process that the putter was damaged?

I didn't remember I had an old account so I opened a new one genius. Unlike yall I have a job, family, and life so I don't spend my time on golf chat sites, but yes I will defend myself to someone flat out lying about me. This dude either didn't realize the putter was damaged or he did know it and sent it anyway. That's a fact. Now I'm over this BS. All of yall need to get a damn life.

I have no clue where the damage happened, but it had a dent when it came out of the box. Listen man. In the past week I have bought two wood, set of irons, 4 wedges, and 3 putters on ebay. Are they all in perfect shape, no, but they don't have a dent in the sweet spot. So you know how many of these I will return, ZERO. Just like the hundreds of other clubs I have not returned over the years. Yours is the first of hundreds of clubs, and you think that you are just so unlucky that I'm trying to pull one over on you? Literally hundreds of clubs and yours is the only one?? How in the world does that make sense to anyone??

And by the way. I was about to list several of those putters to resell because they didn't work for my stroke, but yeah it makes sense that I would deal with a return instead of just reselling it.. Unreal
