Similar profile to Graphite Design AD GP

Hello Folks,

 

Have the AD GP 7x in my sim2 (was fitted into it last month).  I got fitted when i was not swinging well and i'm wondering if thats the issue here. Long story short- it's spinning above 3k now and launching too high. i'm coming from the accra FX (3 years old) a very stout, boardy type feel-- the AD GP has been a welcome change with the softer handle.

 

Question- anyone have a tip stiff/softer handle but launches/spins lower than AD GP? Basically same profile but less spin/launch. the answer is always get fitted, but trying to avoid spending another $200.

GP is probably the stiffest tip in the AD line.  BB,  XC and M9003 follow similar profile.  TP is not as soft in the butt but close.

 

Diamana D+ or 'ahina might also work.  DF was more of a cross between white and blue, and W has a different profile than all of the other white models.

 

I have no experience with the Ventus line, but I'd also look at the Ventus Black.

Tensei CK Pro White, AV Raw White Proto 2.0, PX Green Hulk TX would all be good options.  I would say Ventus Black as it's very tip stiff however it's also stiff in the handle as well.

appreciate it very much guys, will do some digging today- have heard a few people say Tensei white.

Agree about Tensei White - forgot to put that on the list of Mitsubishi shafts.  I have a CK White in my hybrid and its a great shaft. The Pro will be more tip-stiff.

Ventus Blue is probably the best option out of that line. Softer in the handle then the red and black, but retains the stiffness of the black in the mid and tip. Black and red are really stiff in the handle. The Mitsubishi white profiles fit me on paper, but I don’t get along with the softer handle. Ventus black is a much better fit for me.

have any of you tried Oban Kiyoshi Black? On paper it seems like a similar-sh profile. @MPAndreassi @hagimihale @phizzy30

I have no experience with Oban shafts.  But that sounds familiar.

 

I started (or commented on) a thread regarding Diamana white profiles - I was looking to see what else I could try that would be similar.  I seem to recall someone suggesting the Oban Black.
