As for the Byron, it’s perfect and worth the wait. There was an issue that popped up during the Fujikura shaft install. I sent it to @Peoples Golf for the install and there was an issue with the shaft Byron installed. They were unable to get out the steel shaft, as was I before I sent it to them. They sent it to Byron to get it removed and then got it back and put in the MC. I had two really good rounds with it over the weekend so it’s firmly in the driver seat, for now 😂

 

What did Byron do weld the thing in there? Lol. But I keep saying the 620 is super nice, I like that really boxy look. 

 

I have a few graphite shafts laying around just need putters I can put them on/in. I ordered my Lajosi with a mid-slant for that purpose. And I do play on the heavier side, not as heavy as you but I'm about 360g for a 35" putter.

Here’s the email I got from Will. I’ve never had an issue with anything like this before, but they have. They overnighted it to Byron, on their own dime, got it back and had it to me within a week. I can’t say enough good things about them and their customer service.

At least they admitted they couldn't get it and got it fixed. If I was in the US I'd probably use them for some club work.

Do you play T100s bent 2 weak to play like the reg T100? If so what made you do that? And how does the bounce play and offset look? I'm looking into getting the new T100 and maybe the s to bring spin and launch down but worried about the 6 deg loft gap from PW to my 50 deg.

My 4 iron is 2* strong, 5 irons is standard then 6-pw are 2* weak. 
 

The 4 and 5 irons are bent out of necessity. I’m a good long iron player, and strike them well so with the 3* loft change I was getting some bunching at the top end of my bag. Changing to 5* in the longer iron gaps helped me fix that. 
 

For the 6-pw the 2* weak increased the bounce slightly, reduced the offset and the T100S have slightly more tungsten in the toe than the regular T100. 
 

My swing used to be steeper, but this season I’ve worked on getting more neutral. My miss is still to get a bit steep, so the extra bounce helps a little with that. 
 

If I miss it horizontally on the face the toe side is my next favorite spot so the little bit extra tungsten helps with that. 
 

Then as far as the offset goes, I just prefer the look of less so that’s gravy. 
 

I don’t think I could have personally designed a better set of irons for me than the current gen T100S. I’m hoping the new ones resemble the tech or I’ll be finding some of these sets to place in a closet.

I'm just trying to decide between T100 1 deg strong or T100s 1 deg weak. I hit it pretty far as is and don't like the wedge gapping if I go full T100s stock lofts. I like my wedges at 50-54-58 so don't want my PW less than 45 deg. I'm a high launch and spin player and tend to get a bit steep as well but don't seem to have digging issues with the reg T100 bent strong. Only worry is the dry summer time here in NC if I go S and get more bounce. I can notice the added offset from bending the T100 and don't necessarily like the look of it but haven't ever played anything with hardly any offset. Kind of impossible for me to decide at the moment.

I made the swap this season to 50-54-58. I had always played 50-55-60. I like the smaller gaps, and prefer adding loft versus trying to knock down a wedge. That goes back to me getting steep and getting a bit chunky when trying to deloft it and I miss it.

The head was great. The alignment was the best of any of the mallets I tried. 
 

Unfortunately mallets just don’t work for me and I got rid of it.

Honestly, it wasn’t for me. It was nowhere near as stable as the Ventus stuff. I played three 9 hole rounds with the Proforce and dumped it to a buddy. 
 

I have played a 9 hole around, and an 18 hole round with the Ventus Black 10x. I’ll do a more thorough write up next week after I get a few more rounds in with it.

I'm actually playing it with a Ventus Black 10x. It's playing at 42.75". I use it as a replacement of my 3 wood. My home course doesn't really need a 3 wood of the fairway, so having the larger head, and using it as an additional option off of the tee has been great. I've hit it off of the deck a few times, and haven't had much issue with it. It doesn't fly high, but it's far from not being hittable.

I’ve had my Scotty Champion’s Select in the bag since I received it. After all the experiments I did over the season the Newport 2 shape is what works best for me. I still have my Byron 620 that I use from time to to, but primarily the Scotty. Both have a Fujikura MC X-Firm in them.

Every time I have to pull a shaft from a Byron for a build I have nightmares about your thread.   I’ve done 4 of them in the last year and they’ve all pulled easy thank god… must be the holy water I baptize them in before the torch.

That's the first time I've ever had that issue with any club, I think it was just a fluke thankfully.

How are you liking the Sim2 Rescue? And how does it compare to your TSi3 Hybrid? Both of those fit my eye. I'm looking to replace my DI as its become a one trick pony and created a weird gap between my 4 wood and 4 iron.

I love the SIM2 and I love the TSi3. For me, they play as two completely different clubs even though they’re relatively similar.
 

The SIM2 is lofted all the way down and is playing around 15*. I use it as a three wood replacement. My home course is old and shorter so I don’t need a traditional style fairway wood there. 
 

The TSi3 is more or less a traditional hybrid. Flies higher, lands softly. It’s at the stated loft now just on the flat lie angle setting. They’re both very good.

 

The TSi is more iron like in it’s performance and the SIM2 is more like a fairway wood, for me. I played and experimented with a few different driving irons last season, and that’s the spot that I ended up filling with the TSi and haven’t looked back.
