Not to get off topic, but one of the most underrated years imho was 1984

 

couples had Seve, Trevino and Watson on his heels..

 

great tournament that year...hardly ever ‘remembered” in players tributes or clips

29 is a tough ask when you throw in the usual couple of missed putts from inside 4 ft.

The names of those on the bottom part of those out on the course, from +3 down to Stenson could make a hell of a leaderboard.

Maybe this is common knowledge but for those that don't know, PGA Tour Live is free for the first round of the Players. No credit card needed.

Yup, at sea level. I'd be pumping drives 260 lol. Driver, 3 iron...driver, 3 iron etc. Throw in some wind, it would chew me up and spit me out

The PGA really really wants this to be a major. Watching this The PGA has made this course their version of Augusta. Super plush green grass, pine straw everywhere, theme song. etc etc.. 

 

They have major envy so bad they can taste. Which is all the more reason it is not a major..

He mentioned his swing has been off for a while taking the club back too far to the inside. But even before that I noticed he's been missing tons of fairways with the new driver shaft combo. His strokes gained off the tee still looked okay during that time, but that's because hitting from the rough isn't much of an issue for these guys. Water though? Yeah, can't hit out of that most of the time.

Xander and Finau were very popular picks with the PGATour Fantasy "Experts"...

 

Neither is a proven winner, though both are fantastic golfers and money machines.

 

As someone who bets on golf, backing someone like Finau at 25-1 when he a SINGLE victory (alternate event - 5 years ago) is insane...Xander at 20-1 seems equally silly as he hasn't won in over two years.

 

My guess is these guys also picked Anna Kournikova on the WTA back in the day.

I've played this course a couple of times, it rips amateur players apart...no doubt about it (and this was with fairly "normal" greens)
