RDX blue in my driver is money. Isn’t going anywhere. Super stable but lots of feel

the rdx black is  similar to the ventus black, except the ventus goes stiffer into the tip.

the rdx blue follows the hzrdus yellow profile, a super soft mid section.  you either love  or hate this profile.

if the shaft is the right fit, you could gain ball speed b/c of better impact location, but i cant tell you if you will or not. you need to hit them.

There is no definitive answer to whether your ball speed will increase or not by swapping out shafts.  The RDX Black felt dead to me whereas the Ventus Black has great feel.  I had the opportunity to go to the local golf store and put up my VB against the RDX Black and numbers wise, the VB launched 1 degree lower and spun about 200 rpm less.  Ball speed difference was marginal.  As for RDX Blue I have not tested it.

I’ve hit the rdx black a few times and was pleasantly surprised. Little looser than the VB, so would give VB a win there, but it was very comparable and would be a great value vs the VB as you could likely find one for at least $100-$150 cheaper.

However I have hit the VB and rdx blue side by side...and I am a big fan of the blue. I really like the Ventus black, but the rdx blue is a little smoother, was better dispersion for me, and I was 1-3 mph faster with the blue. I paired it with an epic max LS and loving it!

I love the Blue. I play Project X LZ shafts in my irons and the Blue is an extension of that feeling. Specifically, you can feel the shaft load and kick fast into impact. In my opinion it’s a great feeling. I have a Ventus Blue and in my hands the RDX and Blue produce similar numbers and feel very similar. If I had to choose I’d take the RDX.

I also have the RDX Black shaft in the same flex. In my opinion the Black is a “no” type shaft. There is no load, separation, kick, or any discernible movement throughout the swing. Some folks absolutely love this type of thing. Everything feels connected and stable.

I have a RDX Black 70 stiff that is a little too soft for my liking. How much do I have to tip it to getting it to feel stiffer? 0.5” or .75” enough?

Also does anyone have any experience with the Ping Tour shaft vs. RDX black?

Second this ^^^^

I’d also like to hear if anyone has and comparisons of the Tour 65 and the black or blue RDX.
