Curious to those that have hit the standard Lamaze LS version versus the speed triple diamond. Based on some other comments, thought the triple diamond might be just a touch higher spin than the LS.  I  struggled with too low of a spin rate on the 9° LS model, trying to decide between the speed triple diamond or a 10.5° LS.

I have both versions and the Speed TD didnt suit me very well. I have plans to try other shafts and see if that makes any difference, but I tended to push a lot of drives just slightly right with the Tour AD-HD. I want to tear the wrapper off of the TD LS, but I just cant bring myself to do it just yet, especially since getting either version is almost like finding an honest politician now.

Yes. UPS shows out for delivery tomorrow.
My TCB also took 8 days.

Ordered through a preferred Callaway shop that my wife’s high school friend is the Head Pro.

Damn that’s awesome. Hit it well!

Going to be the final shootout for the year

Sim2 Velo Blue 7x at 0.5” 45.25” vs ESTD, same build at 10.5” and both one click lower.

Might not be a shootout if the TD is as good at eliminating left side as I’ve heard, as the Sim2 ETA is mid-July.

That’s gonna be a great shoot out. I’m still in OG SIM and looking for something a little more stable on bad shots. Hoping the ESTD does that for me. Still deciding on what shaft to try first.

Coming from Max LS and standard Speed, the Speed TD is a real fun driver to put in play. It’s not taking a back seat to my other drivers. It’s so neutral. Your face/path relationship and strike point dictates everything with the STD. It’s good! Darn good!

But then they paste this chart on their website which suggests the Max LS is lower spin than the TD and the TD is mid spin. Come on Callaway, they can't both be correct.

I find the Speed TD can kill spin with more weight forward or add spin with less weight forward. I play my TD with 2G front and 14G rear and it spins in my ideal window of 2100-2600 with plenty of launch. Against my 10.5° Max LS and standard 10.5° Speed, the TD sits in between the LS and Speed. The LS can be too low spin at times while the standard Speed can be too high spin. My pursuit to find the best of all world in a driver has ended now I have the TD in the bag.

Is there a reason that the Epic Speed LS Triple Diamonds are going for above MSRP on eBay?

I ordered an Epic Max LS through Callaway, but in the shipping email it says they are sending the "TA Epic Speed LS TD". It doesn't seem like I should be unhappy about the mix up?

It’s not a mixup. They’re TA, no spec stickers.

I ordered the Max LS though, not the TD LS. But it looks like they're sending me the TS LS. Just wondering why the resale is so much higher for the TD LS because the MSRP seems to be the same.

Probably because there was a release of the triple diamonds that sold out asap and they're relying on buyers who don't know they're back in stock.

I have a question.. obviously I am missing something. I have been playing a Max Ls for a while. Honestly no real complaints. Find a lot of fairways. Distance is great. But, admittedly, I just can’t get the Epic speed look and sound out of my head.

I am a naturally high-ball hitter. Curious to ask anyone who has tried the Epic Speed, Max Ls and Epic Speed TD? IF you tried the heads with the same shaft, which one launched lowest for you??

My main confusion is this. I play a fade(sometimes an over-fade, albeit a slice). On Callaways website I see they have the speed listed as “semi-draw” and max Ls as neutral(have a 9* head clicked +1 and D with the weight all the way in the heel and works great). All the pictures at address of the Speed look open to my eye while the Speed TD look a bit more closed, which I like since I fade it. However, I see lots of people saying the Speed TD is anti left. What am I missing here??

Same here I am naturally a high ball hitter I had the Max LS in play with a Ventus blue 6TX and recently got hold of an epic speed triple diamond LS 8.5 head from JDS Clubs.

Only had 2 range sessions with the new head and from what I can see so far the triple diamond comes out a lot flatter/lower for me now granted that could be because the actual loft of the new head is 7.5 but I also had the Max LS set to 8 degrees so much of a muchness.

I thought mishits would be punished much more than the Max LS but honestly they are very similar.

More testing to come will come back with an update in the next few days.

Ive Been playing the mavrik td all summer and really got along with it , with the exception of any mishit.  It’s really not a forgiving driver at all.  The high toe miss is brutal , even has a different sound altogether.   Yesterday I got my hands on a epic speed TD at 8.7 loft and with same shaft ( TB 70) it was apparent that it was a great improvement on the first 3 balls.  Because all those were misses.  Lol.  But flew straight and didn’t feel like dead ducks off the face.

Then I got into the groove and saw it shine. Easily the most neutral driver combo I’ve hit. Just comes out straight.  Hot and with a much improved sound over mavrik TD.  Excited to get it on course snd not have the 1-2 dud balls from a slight miss a round the mavrik was producing .  Someone else said this to me and ill repeat it. This one is a very “ playable “ driver.  Not just a launch monitor queen.
