I find the Speed TD can kill spin with more weight forward or add spin with less weight forward. I play my TD with 2G front and 14G rear and it spins in my ideal window of 2100-2600 with plenty of launch. Against my 10.5° Max LS and standard 10.5° Speed, the TD sits in between the LS and Speed. The LS can be too low spin at times while the standard Speed can be too high spin. My pursuit to find the best of all world in a driver has ended now I have the TD in the bag.

Where did you get weights?

Not sure if it’s posted before but how’s this compared to mavrik TD?? I have that but actually prefer the standard mavrik SZ better

I had the MZ SV before going with the Speed TD. Overall the Speed TD is hotter across the face and significantly more forgiving. Best way I can describe it is to take the sweet spot on the MV and expand it 1/4in out in all directions. Any strike in this new area doesn't lose distance whereas a shot with the MV would lose 5-10%. I've hit a number of low-center strikes that I was shocked at where they ended up

Which one do you have? There’s so many it’s confusing?? I love the feel and sound especially off the face of the MV SZ and low spin. Is this what you’re getting but larger area? If so…what the??? Ha

I have a Speed TD. The MV SV was a demo from the club so I never really owned it. Overall I like the Speed TD's feel and performance significantly more

More I play with this thing , the more confident I get.  And I swear it’s still getting longer.   I had 6 holes yesterday where I hit less club in than I ever have ( ever ) on approach.   And this is after a hurricane came through and dumped rain last week. No way you can call it super firm and fast.  Now mind you I’ve been working hard on my driver swing as well. And I know some of it is due to that.  But this combo just wants to go straight , and it’s hot .  Doesn’t matter if it’s a high bomb , or a low bullet.  It comes out fast and goes.

This is my exact experience with the TD too.  I can feather a ball into play if I have to however with this driver it's bombs away.  The harder it hit it, the straighter it goes.  Catch one a bit high in the face and it launches a knuckle ball that Phil Niekro would be envious of.  It is such a fun driver!

Tensei blue?

No the diamana TB.  I think stands for true blue or something.  It’s the new blue board basically.

Anyone still playing this driver (non-LS)? These drivers can be picked up for a good deal at the moment and I'm tempted to get one.

It's hard to imagine Epic Speed was just 3 years ago.  Such a great driver!!  I've gone Epic Speed to Rogue TD,  To Paradym TD and the Epic would hang with any of them.  From a ball speed perspective Epic would be close, but Paradym would be slightly better on miss hits.  I say go for it.

Just played mine tonight indoors at Le Golf Nationale.  I added 4 grams of hotmelt to the heel and play a Rogue Black 130MSI 7TX. SW at D4 playing 45".  It's a tad lower lower on ball speed compared to the Paradym TD, which I also own. But, I hit more fairways with the Epic Speed.  On the course there is no difference in distance for me.  Sounds amazing. Powerful and muted.  For the price you can get one now, it's a no brainer.
