What'd You Shoot Today?

Played a legit 9 yesterday, 41 with a triple on a par 3. Got another 6 holes in after that. 

Negative is that my irons and short game are absolute trash, but the putter is aces

Played yesterday. Cold, windy, and wet towards the end. Shot 71, par 72. First round with new phantom 5.5. Loved it!

I lost more than 2, but there are a lot of leaves on the fairway and that's where I lose them the most.

Just shot an 82. Slowly getting there

First nine of the year. The first day of the year I hit balls at all (hit driving range before walking nine). 
 

Shot 39. Buried a 20 footer for birdie on the second hole and was even through four...then I made double on a par five and just kind of hung on from there.

Took our first trip in a year to Palm Desert the other day.  Put up 69 and 73 on Shadow Ridge from the greens.  And doubled 18 for the 69 (fail).  
 

playing in 80+ degree weather with bounce and roll is a massive, massive game changer.  Oh, and the back doesn’t hurt either 😎

Shot 103 on a "collegiate course" today. Hardest course I've personally played and was hoping to crack 100 there but it wasn't in the cards. So much water....

First round of the year on a 40* day. Had a chance to go play again so we did. Got really cold and really tired. Had a hard time finishing without leaving the ball out to the right and had some chipping issues to finish. But I'm happy I got out.

No idea, but I was killing greens today. My new irons are really awesome, I am very happy.

A not so good 78, but still good enough to take the $$ from my 3 playing partners.  Plus almost reached 2 - Par 5s using driver and 2 iron, and 1-ugly hole; a short 287yd Par 4 - go figure.

 

The front-nine was plagued with my inability to control my swing, couldn't seem to get past the arthritis influence.  My head had one thing in mind, my body wasn't having any of it.  LOL  Thank the Lord for waking me up and loosening up on the back nine, and remembering to tee it HIGH.  It flattened my plane just enough, so I was really smacking the driver and 2 & 3 irons.

116 - The course is split into 3, 6 hole loops.  1st loop I played bad, 2nd loop I played good (for me).  I thought I had a chance to break 100, but I proceeded to collapsed on the final loop.

Played my first rounds here in N Mich this weekend.  Played 9 saturday, shot 41.  18 on sunday, 91.  My bad shoulder and sore back took its toll on the back 9 sunday.  Still working the bands and bowflex trying to get strength back.

Broke 80 for the first time this weekend.  Parred the first 7 holes.  Hit 10 of 18 greens with 30 putts.  Ended with 37/40 for a 77.  Beat my personal best by 5 shots.  No idea where that round came from.

 4 over on front nine , no birdies or bogeys- course was quiet at that time

 

By the time I made the turn, tourist crowds came and they were sending players off on the back nine, too.

As it was slow , I just practiced shots.

106. Getting better. It helped that I left the driver in the bag the entire round.

I played 9 yesterday and shot a 41.  A respectable score for my game as my average on 9 is typically a 42/43.  Then I looked at my stats on my watch and saw that my driving accuracy was a lowsy 43% and had only 1 green in regulation with 13 putts.  That's usually a recipe for a 45 or 46.  Reflecting on my 9, my short game was on and helped make up for my poor driving and sub-par approach shots.

I played my first tournament and shot a 39 on the front 9. I hated the course: super tight, no driver holes, very contrived.  I went quad bogey, birdie, par on the back 9 and then hit 2 balls into the water. It was more fun to just pull out my driver and try to carry 290 to get over the lakes at that point and I finished with a 62.  The back nine was more fun than the front 9 for sure! I would have had to shoot 75-76 to be anywhere in the top 10 so there was no reason to grind for an 84.

93 Saturday, after three other rounds in the same range since the beginning of March. Started last season as a 6.1 and currently an 8.8 and ascending. 

 

Dangerously close to the "get professional help or hang them up" mindset, with a side order of driver yips. My short game is weirdly better than ever.

First round back after lockdown 3.0 in England and I notched a roller coaster 40 for 9 holes. 

 

There were some wild shots but a couple of surprisingly good ones considering the 84 day layoff.

77. First round post UK lockdown. Pleasantly surprised at ball striking. Greens are slow but they will improve in the next few weeks. Just great to be back playing and getting social contact.

78. Highlight was a purred 220yrd 4i to the front of the green from the middle of the fairway on a slightly uphill par 5. Two putt for birdie. Not too many feelings in golf better than a purred long iron off a tight fairway lie.

Playing the normal tees..  Cold weather makes the ball go shorter...  Hopefully it gets better..

Haven't played in 4 weeks.  Reinjured my left knee playing with the dogs outside.  I also have a strained groin that's never going to heal at this rate.  I will be playing for the first time in a month on Saturday.  Hopefully my swing hasn't completely abandoned me.  Was playing really good golf before the injuries.  Played El Prado, Butterfield Stage and shot a 74 my last round.  One of my better scores for the year.  The course is pretty easy though.  Playing Industry Hills Ike course on Saturday which places premium on accuracy.  Can't wait, lol.

Second round of the year. RUSTY. white bluff resort in texas. new course from the yellow tees. windy AF. couldn't pick the right club all day. Fighting the hooks a bit at the moment. only one birdie all day. 77. felt like it should have been 85 though.

82 this past Friday. It was my second round this year. Super windy in Minnesota. I hit the ball okay, four or five three putts.

Anyways 1 birdie and 1 bogey with a couple lucky bounces lead me to an even par 36.
