What'd You Shoot Today?

First round since the beginning of Jan. Shot 75 - 4 bogeys, 1 double, the rest pars. Not too bad considering I had 3-3 putts. Should be a good year.

Shot the absolute worst round of golf today...111!!! :rolleyes: I haven't shot a number like that in 3 years! :drinks:

 

Hit 4 balls in the water...two in one hole, hit 4 trees, shanked 5 even with a pitching wedge, and 3 putted almost every other hole. I actually managed to get two birdies, but I think I had a total mental breakdown on the course today!

 

Thinking about it...I think I was pressing on every hole after double bogeying the first hole. Even though I knew my swing & tempo was off, I continued to try to make miraculous saves and got myself into further trouble.

I shot a 78 (+7) on Saturday. Hit 11/14 fairways, 10/18 greens and had 33 putts. Didn't hit my irons great and didn't putt very well (2 3 putts), but I am very happy with my driving and am quite happy with the score that I had. I also had my first eagle on the 4th hole of the day (par 5). It was good to follow up my Hole-in-One on a Par 4 from a week and a half ago. It was also a good bounce back from last weeks 89.

I shot a smooth 76 yesterday!

 

34 on the front that easily could have been 3 better since I missed 3 inside 4 feet. Then turned to the back 9 and waited in the middle of the fairway for about 20 minutes waiting for guys to take drops all over the place. Promptly hit a nine iron off line and downward I went to a rugged 42 on the back.

I golfed like crap yesterday but still managed to brake 100 for the first time with a 98 total.

An 80 which dropped me from 10.8 to a 10.5. Threw away a whole bunch of strokes though. Missed greens from 70, 80, and 120 which lead to bogies.

Played a practice round up in Dallas for the publinx qualifier tomorrow. shot 76. That score DOES NOT reflect how well I was striking the ball. I played by myself on a new course. Some of those holes I stood on the tee box and was completely mystified on where to put the ball. So I'd pick my target based on the perceived slope of the fairway, put my ball there.....Boom........behind trees.....or kicked in lateral hazard.....or bad angle to the green. But that's what the practice round is all about....right? My home course has bermuda greens.....these were bentgrass. That was an adjustment. This past week...my game was in the toilet but it seems today I found it.

 

let's hope it shows up again tomorrow.

I shot 81....43 on the front and 38 on the back (and I bogey'd all par5's) nothing makes me more mad than that !

74 at Canyon Ridge in the Lookout Mt area of Georgia. Was looking along at even Par and 3 putted 16 for bogey, missed a 6 footer for Birdie on 17 and 3 Putted for bogey on 18. I was really pushing to make some birdies to finish the round and I just got to agressive. Rounds like that pretty much sum up my exsistance as a golfer.

Shot a 76, then a 75, and a 36 right before sunset. I did fix my swing flaw for the last nine holes though so I'm super happy. 36 could easily have been 3-4 under if I made a couple putts. :D

Only managed 9 this morning. Beautiful day, one club breeze. 2 over for the 9. 2 double bogeys and 2 birdies, rest par.

Beats the maracas out of being in the office.

It was a great day for me because my previous lowest round was a 80.

I played in a two-day tournament today, and shot a 72, (par 72 course). Last time I checked I was T-10. Some kid shot a 67. Hope to go low tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Played thursday shot an 88 with 2 birds and like 2or 3 pars..

 

I got a new driver and couldn't hit.. so after I left it in the bag I played my 3wood and was just smoking it .. Thank you alpha for this amazing 3 wood.. drove a 280 yd par 4 with it, actually it was over the green in the rough about 5ft from the green. Anyways, could have played better.. lipped out 3 par putts and 1 more birdy putt and had to take a couple penalties... ah well, I'm on my way to breaking 80 so I'm happy.

Played in a 3 day better ball of partners tournament this weekend. Shot 80 on my own ball Friday afternoon, 82 on Saturday (played like a dog) and 80 on Sunday. There were about 8 pin placements on Sunday that bordered on rediculous to go with tees being pushed back to boxes that have not been used in years. Overall it was not a bad weekend and a fun tournament to play in.

Wife and I both shot our best rounds. Been golfing for maybe a year now. I shot an 84 and my wife put a 90 up, which was her best by 13 strokes! Hopefully the trend continues
