Anyone else see @miketxg instagram story? He said he's seen MP-22 and might see some on tour soon... Hopefully see something soon or might pull the trigger on some ZX7's.

I did see that although he mentioned we probably won’t see them on shelves until the new year, most likely down to the supply chain mess 👎🏻

Dang Mizuno really going to make us wait until next year? Guess Titleist is going to have less competition.

Hopefully they'll at least show us something soon. I'm wanting a new set of irons, money burning a hole in my wallet

Noticed on TGW they don't have the MP 20MB's available, not even for custom order.

Titleist has Tour seeded their new irons but have they published a pre-order date?

They will be released on time. I know that for sure. Mizuno will be February.

So a true February release probably pushes everything thereafter back, including the next JPX line I would think. I’ve been holding off on ordering  JPX tour short irons to blend with my current full set of forged. Didn’t want to deal with prolonged wait times and I though I would just try to get it right with the next release, either MP or JPX. But it doesn’t look like this situation is getting any better in the next year or even longer with everything getting pushed, might as well order now and wait.

Yeah that was me.  Lol.  Given the relationship TXG has with Mizuno, I figured it couldn't hurt to ask him during his IG Q&A.

I just checked the USGA conforming list and, as of right now, there is nothing listed for an MP-22 iron.  As expected, the new irons from Titleist are listed (search under "Acushnet Company").

I'm not sure what the lead time is for adding clubs to the CL before Tour use, but short of a tease by Mizuno, the CL may be the place to watch for now.

So is Titleist supply chain better than everyone else for them to not hold their release?

Hope Mizuno will leak picts and info sooner rather than later. Guess if I order in Feb I could hopefully have a set by April

I didn’t know there was a release day for the new Titleist irons. Given grips are in low supply, shafts are in low supply and demand is at an all-time high can Titleist release a new line without the 8-12 week delay they had earlier this year? I’m guessing, no however it will be fun to watch how the roll out goes.

I spoke with my Mizuno rep and he straight out said the delay is in place to ensure they have all their club components (heads, grips, shafts etc) on hand and in higher qualities so they can avoid lengthy delays. He said they have lost loads business because of their current 6-7 week timeframe.

I also believe there will be a MP 20 feeding frenzy when the MP 22’s are announced like we saw with the JPX 919 line.

Yeah it's going to be interested in seeing how Titleist release goes. I was looking at the T200's they look nice in the photos...The only downside for me is a prefer traditional lofts but could make it work.

Probably the right thing for Mizuno to do is hold off and try to at least meet demand and try to keep it to a 4 week turn around time

I think I'm going to hold off and see what the MP22's look like. It would be nice if they would at least release photos and info later this summer.

I wish they would go back to the MP14/33 style but I'll probably order as soon as TGW has them available for custom ordering.

Has PXG’s assembly/shipping even slowed? I’m considering ordering a set of Gen 3’s. Is shipping still only 2-3 weeks?

I have no way of answering that. I wonder if it was somewhat timing.. and they only release irons once every two years right? Mizuno releases an iron line every year. Maybe they have more tied up in the box line and could not support both?

I have no idea.. I am just guessing..

Yeah I think Mizuno releases a line every year. The MP line one year and the JPX line the next so you're probably right

I did notice on TGW you can no longer do any custom MP irons and on Dicks the only MP line that you could customize were MMC.

Maybe Mizuno is trying to cut back so they can stock up on grips ad shafts for the MP22 release

That’s what I’m wondering. My relationship with Mizuno is on the rocks. They offer lefties the super game improvement irons or the tour irons, but none of the middle ground offerings that most guys fit into.

I agree Q!  I thought the mp18’s were one of my favorite shaped irons they made in a while.  Nice straight lines that looked very playable!  They made an effort to adjust the scoring irons as well.
