Something I want to add, taking all of this in

If, as Vosh says, "You're either an MP guy or a JPX guy" and that most golfers won't float between the lines,

Then why are they bringing JPX tech into the MP line? Why are they making JPX that are less forgiving than MP?

It seems the JPX Tour is really the MP-20 CB, and the upcoming 223 is going to be more of a techy T100 type iron.

The waters are muddy, and it's really not our problem to figure out... we'll see how Mizuno handles these concerns.

I think he means stylistic… satin vs chrome, classic vs modern looks etc

JPX was always the more modern looking, and higher tech iron. It's not common someone will float between the two lines - as stated by Chris Voshall, people are either an MP, or a JPX person.

The MMC is the Mizuno equivalent to the T-100, where the tour is more or less a 620 CB.

T100 feels like crap to me compared to my MP 20's...

I don't think anyone were saying they feel the same, more that they sit in the same place(s) within the product line up.

I play the mp20 mbs and honestly they feel nice but they’re really not the softest mizuno irons I’ve played. I just purchased the 2021 t100 and I’m getting rid of my mbs. I like the mp20 mbs a lot but the titleist t100 imo was overall just a better iron. The feel wasn’t as good as mizuno which was to be expected but it wasn’t that far off. Add that to the fact that the top line was thinner in the t100 and offset was close to identical in most irons in the t100 cavity back compared to the mp20 blades and it was an easy decision for me.

So they launch in only ~half a year from now! Not bad. This thread will be at about 150 pages by then! 😩 🤣

Gives you all time to go get fitted. I bet heads will arrive a couple months sooner.

I dont need irons, but I would like to see if these will beat out my Bridgestones. I love the looks so far, seems they widened that sole a bit on the blade.

I never need irons when I buy new ones. 😂

Does anyone else think the 223 looks like a Ping I210. The bar in the cavity looks almost identical. Are any of the tour pros using the 223 or just the 221?

Also, does anyone have any idea where the 223 is supposed to sit forgiveness wise against the JPX Tour? I realize they are two different lineups but it seems like they are kind of spilling into each other at this point.

No doubt more forgiving than the 921 Tour (second smallest iron head Mizuno makes).

Probably similar to the 921 Forged.

They'll be a bit more forgiving than the tours, a bit less than JPX forged. They are entirely a T-100 competitor in terms of where they sit in the Mizuno catalogue - a player's iron with forgiveness, but not excessive amounts.

Buried somewhere within the 26 pages. Yes, traditionally it’s on the Japanese line exclusively. Looks like it’s crossing over now.

*When I first read your post I thought of the people here that would have responded. “Uh, that has already been covered here in detail”. 😂 Like, how dare you don’t peruse the entire 26 page thread 😜

Bro I try, and usually up to page 10 I click to last page lol.  I'm guessing there will probably be a guy after me too ha.

Mizuno does not believe in a huge feel cushion behind the face or in foam filled hollow irons.

So the answer is no as to an i210 comparison..

The best combo set of Mizuno’s I’ve ever had was 3-6 MP-64 and 7-pw MP-4. I miss that setup. They flowed nicely together but that 3 iron was demanding as all heck!

Agreed.  I'm playing 4-7 64s and 8-PW 4s.  Nothing I've tried since can get them out of the bag.  Best combo I've had.
