Mizuno MP-22

Yet again, Mizuno is the only company to not make alot of lefty models... I was looking forward to combo MB/MMC with the combo I want to do, but yet again dissapointed. Currently gaming 921 SEL and hate the forged combo with the tours.

LOL @ all the people bashing forged chromoly and touting T100s.  Mizuno forged chromoly is still "more" forged than the T100s being a one piece forging.  Titleist clubs, in general, don't hold a candle in feel to Mizzys regardless of the metal Mizzy is using...

Any notion how the change in metals may affect set blending? is jumping from a 221 to the 223 between the 6 and 7 irons going to cause radical difference between them in shifting both from a blade to a cavity _and_ changing materials? Am I worried about nothing?

JPX 921 Forged makes that jump from 7i to 8i.

There is a difference in feel, but it’s not severe enough to bother me - and I have played 1025 MP 52s for 10+ years now.

That's true in regard to feel, Titleist can be not as soft but the Titleist iron shapes are generally more appealing than Mizuno especially in short irons. The shape is the main appeal of titleist irons to me whereas mizuno is the feel

Seems like it, that's where it is in the USGA photo. Maybe Mizuno doesn't want it officially revealed yet.

Hard to tell from the angle, but to me, the sole appears a little wider than the 25’s with a more pronounced cavity.

Would it be easy to remove the black paint fill in the script with paint stripper or something similar? Then it might be less offensive

It would probably be simpler and safer to fill in a silver paint over it if it really bothers that much. I kinda like the script myself.

Usually that’s easy to do. Just be careful to not use a scotch brite pad but something softer so you don’t get Micro scratches

Just saw on Facebook from Mizuno Japan that they will be sharing more details about the new line on 9/14. I can’t wait to see these in person! And that will probably be when my set arrives after preorder!🤣
