Any idea when pre-orders for February start?

I thought that I heard December mentioned but I would think Vosh may mention it on Sep 20.

Anyone seen the specs on these? Wondering what lofts look like?

Look back a couple pages, there’s links to each model and their Japan specs.

I have no idea as to Mizuno - but whatever he says in the public domain is generally open to discussion when made public. But you can't go beyond his discussion.

I liked how all mp 20 models are lofted same. So the pro models won't be the same and they will be difficult to combo.. To a player like me then, 225 with 1 degree weak may be the answer?

The mmc and hmb were the same in the MP20 line, while the mb's were weaker (except for the pw).

The HMB (225) are a big step forward: much more compact than in the MP20 range. I always wondered, why they were the same size, similar technology as the JPX Forged. I mean, it is still "MP", so it should be smaller - now it is! The topline is noticeably thinner, I would say like the Titleist T200 - without a direct comparison.

Side by side from the Korean website 3D. The HMB topline doesn’t look all that much thicker than the 223. Thicker for sure but not enough that it might be offputting for a full set. Super intrigued now.

It looks like the Mizuno Pro lineup will now closely mirror the TaylorMade lineup of P7MB - P7MC -P770.

The 225 and 770 are now very similar -- player's distance hollow body without that previous bulk and offset.

HMB are hollow whereas the 921 forged are a one piece forging. HMB were bigger and more offset then the forged to my eye.  I really disliked the look of the HMB and would love to see it look more like a players iron while retaining ball speed and forgiveness.

I liked the look of the mmc in the mp20 and the 223 look good but my word these strong lofts are ridiculous. I've been tempted to combo my mb's before with the cavity back offerings to take advantage of some forgiveness but some bending is in order to make that work. I hope we'll see a move to weaker lofts in the future.

I am fairly traditional with my iron lofts, but I did play JPX Forged a bit last year with similar lofts as MMC and 223. I wouldn't consider a 32° 7 too strong, and you can adjust yardage or bend 1 or 2° weak. I wouldn't hold my breath on them making lofts weaker in that offering. You can find the traditional lofts in the mb or jpx tour.

I still play my mp14s, so when I see a 28 degree 6 iron, I scratch my head. Oh well.

USGA Conforming clubs list:

https://www.usga.org/InfoClubsDB/ResultDisplay.aspx?clubtype=Iron&Manf=Mizuno Corp.&Prod=Mizuno Pro Fli-Hi (Version 3)

shows 2, 3, and 4 for the black (new) fli-hi

The images of what I assume to be full sets also show (by count, not definite) three fli-hi irons. As well as enough 223s to include a 4 and GW/AW which are not shown on the Japanese site currently.

Hope not. And I doubt it. But we'll see. Having 3 models super close in size would be a mistake, especially since they are aimed at <2% (maybe <5%) of the golfing population.

However, it is awesome to take a set of new blades and bend them a couple degrees weak. I play my MP5s bent 2 weak. Almost no offset and a nice little increase in bounce. The funny thing is I feel I hit them about the same distance because they get through the turf that much better for me.

223 and 225 are quite similar in size but you can see a difference. But 225 is definately smaller in all aspects compared to the MP20 HMB.

I see now on the spec list of mizuno korea that the 223 and 225 are very similar, same offset, similar size, similar lofts.

Wonder what's the argument to pick one over the other?
