How do you like the MIM wedges?

I have the 50* 54* & 58*. I find them to be really solid, stable. It took a few months to really groove them and I almost gave up on them and then it just all came together.

 

Undecided but so far so good. I have only played one outdoor round with them, got up and down a few times and they felt pretty good, made some full swings with the 56 too. I really like the look at address so i want to like them. We will see how they do off different sorts of lies, but i'm optimistic

I am loving the irons. I honestly am a bit shocked at how easy they are to hit. Very easy to elevate the long irons and they look clean and feel good. 

 

Only 1 outdoor round with them so far but struck it well, and have hit them on the range a lot

Surprised you don't see more Ontario license plates! They are the ones getting the shaft right now. I mean oops, everything they are doing there seems super logical! (writing this in case they start reviewing our social media posting)

 

Quebec courses are open! Got 5 rounds in already

 Ontario folks tend to go more north and west coast of Florida- I rarely see them

 

 Quebecers love the North Miami through Fort Lauderdale area and many have condos here

 

They are usually very nice but skew towards older, slower and less skilled on the munis here so the locals are not pleased when they are out in force

Oh cool! I'm actually quite a ways from there, i'm about 30 minutes west of Montreal in terms of where i play. A course called Whitlock. Used to host the Quebec Mid Am every

It's probably weird to say this about a club where you've been a member at for 10 years as you get desensitized ...But i truly believe the North-South (original) layout of Whitlock is one of the best courses in Quebec and one of the most underrated in Canada.

 

it's a brilliant course. 6700 / 138 approx for slope and rating. But it allows you to hit every club in your bag and there is a clear "feel" to it. The Front 9 is a bit more open, and eases you into the round. There's an easy par 5, a short par 3 in the first 5 holes. The back 9 is a monster, 7 of the 9 holes you can't see the flag from the tee box, so it's a very old school thick pines, narrow dogleg experience. The par 4 17th hole is the hardest stroke play hole in Quebec IMO. it's so hard many A players play it as a par 5 in our club championship

 

On the back 9 at Whitlock you can hit driver 5 times, or zero times. And both make equal sense. It's a great design

 

A course like Beaconsfield is usually listed in the top 100 courses in Canada. The original 18 at Whitlock eats that course for lunch and is never listed. I don't get it.

Particularly like the slightly diagonal pattern on the sole of the Maverick Max. For a brief moment it makes me think, "maybe there's a reason?" before I realise "the tape is freed from the realm of reason and in the boundaries of paradise."

I bought the tape on Amazon, and it's half the size as normal lead tape (so each strip is like a 1/2 strip) , also it doesn't stick very well so it was constantly coming off.

 

The solution, naturally, was to gorilla glue the tape onto the head. It definitely solved the problem but left my clubheads with little glue bubbles on them. LOL

 

It's pretty ugly and gets a lot of comments....But it works for me!

Very big fan of them. Now that i have a lot of experience i can say they are quite good. The head shape is very compact and traditionally shaped, it actually makes my Vokey SM8 look a little clunky to be honest

 

The grind is pretty good, works well off hardpan, sits fairly low to the ground. So it's pretty maneuverable.

 

So yeah, i'm a huge fan so far.
