Low Tide

Anybody heard anything from Low Tide lately?  I put a deposit down in early December and there was some back and forth emails in December and January but now I can't get a hold of them.  I've tried email, phone and social media over the past 2 weeks with no response.  I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this in the past.  The putter was supposed to be done in February but that's not my issue as I know things move slow in this world.  I'm moving in 2 weeks and just want to make sure the putter was sent to a different address but at this point the lack of a simple response has me considering contacting my credit card company.  I'll give it a little more time unless anyone has heard some news.

I did a custom design and deposit towards the end of the summer and was given delivery time frame.  The beginning of the delivery window came and went without any updates so i reached out and heard nothing.  After almost two more weeks and another email, he finally got back to me and said it would still be another couple of weeks.  I was put off by the customer service and lack of communication so I asked to cancel my order and he refunded me my deposit.

Thanks for posting your experience. He’s not even replying to me so I’m not sure how I can even get a refund without involving the credit card company. I’ll probably give him a few more days

They've been pretty silent lately on all things especially social media. They used to post at least once a week and have been silent for over a month. Last post was Feb 14th and before that Jan 27th and they have nothing in stock on their site. 

 

I'd tell them you want to cancel your order and give them a deadline date, if not do a charge back as it's your money.

Wow. It seems like there’s always a thread with someone getting hosed in one way or another by one of the boutique putter makers. It just makes me never want to do a boutique custom again where you have to put down a deposit and/or pay up front...unless I really, really want one and do it through PayPal. PayPal will refund you if there’s an issue, but it’s still a pain.

It really is mine boggling - you would thing dropping so much coin to get a custom putter would mean you also get a customer service experience that reflects it.  It really doesn't appear to be the case in the boutique putter world.

Just wanted to update everyone on this.  I'm not sure if they've stopped operating but they didn't respond to any contact I attempted and my credit card disputed the charge.  I haven't seen any content updates on social or anything so maybe they went under?

I ordered a putter in January 2021, with an estimated  delivery date of March....Still waiting. Have asked for an update( IG, email) for the last 2 weeks and crickets......

@viking_norway I'd dispute the charge with your credit card company if I were you.  I ordered in December for delivery in February and the last correspondence I got was in January.  I followed up numerous times just to change an address (not pressure delivery) and I never got a response back.  I tried various ways of contact as well.
