2021 Titleist Irons and Utility Irons

I love my U500 2-iron for sure.  It's one great club for short par 4's off the tee box.  It just goes.  And such a crisp sound when hit pure.  Plus the HB Ventus Blue (thanks to GLFWRK & Fuji) is the best combo one could have in it.

I put a Ventus Blue HB (9X) into my U510 1 iron. It's totally changed the club - it's a fantastic combination.

Was chatting with a rep on Saturday during a fitting, and he told me the reps have been told to anticipate a mid-august release.

 

He even advised me not to hit any irons, and wait until the next release.

It seems to me that because of the influence of coronavirus, now delivery can be with interrupts or generally stopped for a while, but I hope that it is not.

Did you order yours upright?  It seems there is a significant issue with standard heads (or if you ordered flat).

no....standard.......dont believe everything you are "hearing"

 

call titleist directly and ask for the club making department. They have all the PO's they vcan reference and all the dates of delivery...... many retail outlets have false information or very outdated info....

That is literally what I have been doing.  And it has been frustrating to say the least. 

 

Just spoke to Titleist directly for the 5th time since ordering.  T100S heads are now expected in on 5/25.  Best case delivery would be mid June now.

Any custom order is 5-6 weeks in a normal year.....so a few extra weeks during a global pandemic isnt really that bad.

They don’t take that long in Australia. I had my T100 irons within a week at the beginning of last year, with a 3 iron, KBS Tour shafts, a lie angle adjustment, and MCC Plus 4 grips.

I was custom fit for T100s on 3/12, and got an email update yesterday that the clubs are “in process”. I was also told a 5/15 expected ship date.

Do it! If you do go the Ventus route, just remember you'll need to shave the tip to fit the U510 head.

So Titleist has the new irons seemingly in the hands of Spieth and Zalatoris for testing at the very least. It looks like it must be the T100 update given that they are both T100 players already.

Ordered 620MB (5-PW) irons and U500 3i & 4i irons (all 2 degrees flat) with True Temper AMT Tour White S300 shafts after a fitting just over 3 weeks ago.

 

Was told they would arrive in the last week of May or first week in June but looking more likely to be mid to late June.

My T100-S irons arrived on Thursday...just like Titleist promised.  The clubmaking department had all the updated and accurate info. The retailers are spreading info that may not be up to date

 

The 2 delays were the DG 120 shaft and the blackout grips (which i changed to fulfill the order quickly).

 

So there was only a 2 week increase in delays......not bad during a global pandemic

Grip and shaft selection are the biggest delay in club building.  Could be 2 weeks, could be 3 months depending on shaft/grip

Talked with Titleist today and got the following confirmed:

 

27th August will be the release of the new T-series, at least T100 and T100s. 
 

MB/CB will get a renewal, but at a later stage. 
 

U500 will get a renewal and he confirmed the replacement will be called U505. 
 

He didn’t/couldn’t confirm any news about the irons regarding hidden tech and other speculations from this forum.

Based off your discussion do you think 505 will be the 2nd gen 500 and 510 will get a replacement as well?
