What driver and fairway are you gaming this year?

After a recent driver battle SIM2 has replaced the original SIM.

No fairway woods for me though, I am hit and miss with them so 1 iron is a better option that helps keep the big numbers off the scorecard

Taylormade tour issue M4 set to 8* and upright. Ventus black 6x 45”. Have a Sim2 showing up in 2 weeks on warranty replacement.

 

ts3 18* set at A1. I hit this thing just as long as a standard 3w. Ventus black 8x 42.5”. Might try to get into a sim 5w or a Mizuno stz 5w. We will see. Don’t hit the fairway much anyway

Having a tough time displacing the G400Max. Other than one odd round (where I ended up jacking my back and bailed after 6 holes), I'm typically 10-11 fairways a round. F9 3W at 15.5* stays as well as we have a lot of wind and I can actually hit it off the deck. Added a RadSpeed 7W recently, sorting out how that gaps with 3H and 5i.

I asked everyone for gift cards or cash to get a new driver last Christmas/birthday, put it all together and got fitted. One change I am going to make is to cut it down to 45". I wanted to try it at 45.5" but I think I can be just a little more consistent contact wise if I was at 45"

 

The 3 wood I got a few years ago barely used and I love it. I almost never use it off the fairway simply because I don't play golf courses that are very long, but this thing is a cannon and I love the look/feel of it. Might look into something new this coming winter, but am in no rush to replace it

Not even thinking of replacing the G Max 400. The Ping G 425 5 wood will be here today to replace the Epic Max 5 wood. The epic Max is easily the longest fairway wood I can remember, but not that forgiving for me off the deck. I use a 5 wood because of my driver distance, so I have to rely on it a lot. If the G 425 5 wood does the job I expect it to, then a similar 7 wood will be next. My bag will mostly be Ping G 425 soon.
