Finally drank that Velocore koolaid 😎

I made a few swings with the made for ventus and while its dressed in similar clothing don’t be fooled. It’s not even close to the same animal..

The velocore is a monster. If you are a stronger player with a more aggressive transition and haven’t took the ventus for a spin you are missing out. They are Flat out perform..

Not sure what it is about the profile but it was immediately noticeable how much smoother/ more together the club felt to me (if that makes sense)..

I had previously been in a tour AD BB and while it performed great I think the softer butt section is where I was seeing erratic dispersion (left but only when I stepped on it)..

I think The stiffer butt section in the Velocore might have been just was what I needed..

I gained 3mph ball speed as well which had it carrying around 5-6 yards further which is always a plus.

Curious how many people have got ahold of one and loved it vs. hated it..

Just like every shaft that comes out, has a high draw, then suddenly something "better" comes out. I tried the Velecore and was not a big fan, couldnt put enough on it I guess. Oh well on to Auto Flex for me 😂

I have usually dismissed Fuji shafts as I have not gotten along with them, but the Ventus Blue w/Velocore is on another level. It kicked out my beloved UST Elements Chrome and the AD-IZ to the shelf. It's hard to explain, but in transition it feels smooth and stiff at the same time. My SS ranges between high 90's and low 100's and this one is holding up well for me in the Mav Max.

Only shaft that was able to bump my AD DI out of the bag.

That was my hope but I just really can't fall in love with it. TM is replacing my SIM with a SIM2 for a warranty issue so hopefully the Blue 6X will perform better in that head than I was able to get on with it in the OG SIM. Can't quite knock the DI out of the bag after all these years...

Have both the 6S blue and 6S black.

Surprisingly launched the black about a half degree higher than the blue with about 200 less spin.

Black is what i'll be playing but both  shafts flat out perform..

That’s not as bizarre as it may seem. None of them are really a high launch profile. The Blue is like traditional white profiles from other shaft companies. The Red really isn’t all that high launching. Mid-high at most. I hit my Red very similar to GD Tour AD-TP launch and spin wise. High, mid and low is just relative to one another in the same line. That said, I don’t get along with the softer handle that’s in the Blue, or shafts like Tensei White, but the Black and Red with their stiff handles are very good for me.

Exactly, this is that feeling of smoother/more together i was trying to put into words.. Dont recall swinging anything to date that felt quite like it..

It's forced me to smooth out my transition also. If I get too quick it gets ugly real quick. When I swing within myself, the results are great and drives are longer than anything I have hit with any other shaft combo.

The blue kicked the 125msi rogue out of my bag. It's been a great shaft for 5 months now.

I did not care for it in the 3wood tho. The softer handle in the 3wood caused more left misses than my speeder evo2. Idk why the softer handle doesn't cause left misses with the driver. The driver is just tight fades all.day long.

Fortunate for me, I have two Ventus Velocore Red, 5 & 7 series "S" and still enjoying the honeymoon and she's feeding me Kool-Aid.  😛

I am all about feel when it comes to golf and golf clubs.  The Ventus without velocore is IMO "Made For" and a nice shaft, priced for someone that is into "me too" but doesn't want to spend the bucks for the real deal, which I can appreciate.

However, Velocore material seems to bring a noticeable difference.  I hit some good drives with my prior Fujikura Fuel Tour Spec 60 "S", played it from its introduction to early 2020 when I bought Ventus Velocore Red shafts.   So far, I am another year older and over a year playing Ventus Red with Velocore.  The longer I play the shafts the better I am striking my ball.  Something in the shaft's composition assists in using the club-head sweet spot to hit the ball...go figure... 😋  Doesn't matter how I tee the ball, I am smacking it.

Ventus Red 5 series 59g "S" in driver facing fast, benign condition, I am realizing some drives that easily reach 260+ and some 275-280.  That truly amazes me, but my longest drives are boggling the mind of this 70yr old.  I now have 4 reaching 300+.  Yes, fast winter fairways help, but it's no different from what we see watching TV golf.

I am taking some fairway short-cuts that I never considered possible with my earlier driver shaft.  One 525yd Par 5 has a totally blind tee shot, 220 to cover an immense tree filled creek to a diagonal narrow fairway.  Before Ventus I use to just hit straight over, 230-240 and played the hole its full length.  Now, I am aiming further to the right down the fairway, cover is 230+ and realizing 260+ drives in the middle right of the fairway.  Last time I landed in the opposite side of the fairway and ended in the rough about 15yds, 2nd shot was an easy 4i to flip wedge and tap in birdie.  Pardon my moments here, but reliving some shots make me feel good.  Thank You Fujikura -

I believe they consider the handle Firm in the blue.. the Red and black are ultra stiff handle..

The tour AD BB i was gaming prior is soft handle and the blue is definitely a touch stiffer ..

I have tried each flavor of the Velocore Kool-Aid and Red, Black and Blue do not work for my swing.

Swapping between a Graphite Design TP and any of the Velocore’s reassured me that I am a much better fit in the TP (or the IZ that is coming next week).

The Velocore just seems to firm for me as I don’t create a lot of lag with a swingspeed of 103-105 mph SS.  More of a Stricker type swing rather than a Sergio type swing.

Velocore feels very one-piece to me regardless of color so I obviously don’t load the line well.

Expensive experiment but worth it so I’m not Jonesing anymore to play one.

Now I’m on to trying some other GD shafts as I played the TP for most of last year and have the IZ coming and hope to find a reasonably priced HD to try out.
