XXIO nomenclature

Maybe I posted in wrong area yesterday, so far no responses, so I'll try again here

 

Looking for help with what's what on XXIO clubs.  I want to try XXIOs, but not interested in jumping in brand new right off the bat.  I find it difficult to determine what's what amongst the used clubs.  At 75, this years Prime sounds like what I should try.  When I look at ads for used drivers I see terms such as XXIO Prime 9, or XXIO Prime 8, the 9 and 8 having nothing to do with loft but apparently the "year" model?  What does all the nomenclature mean? Similar question regarding irons. Just as important, which will get me closest to the current version Prime.  Thank you!

The best thing to do is Google the XXIO clubs. I bought the Prime 9 woods, that model is the 2016 clubs. I was lucky enough to be playing one day and the guy I played with was using these clubs and asked if I could hit them as he was crushing the ball with them. He was 74 years old. After hitting his driver and 3 wood I went on a mission to find them used and have found them. They have been a game changer for me. Long Par4’s I could not reach are holes I reach now. Might not work for everyone but for me it was money well spent.

You are right on track.  Prime is a series and those numbers are  iterations.  Confusing indeed as the current offering doesn't have any further designation.  Good luck.
