Could you please post a pic, and a review after you have had it in play?

Thanks, it sounds interesting.

Midlock just arrived.

I have the ER11v.

First impressions; it certainly does what it aims to do. It's not as cumbersome as a traditional arm lock putter. Yes, you do feel a little more rigid in your left arm but not as bad, the putting stroke is different but you still feel like there is a remnant of a conventional putting stroke in there. For the first time with one of these 'none conventional' putters it actually feels great. I've tried the Axis1 and LabStroke in the past and they feel like junk, this feels solid and well made. Grip is nice and tacky whilst still giving good feedback. Headcover is very high quality, impressive.

Obviously the real test will be on the putting green and course. Hopeful when this rain stops today I'll be able to get out and roll them on a real green.

Only had it on the carpet so far and of course I'd be holing everything if it was a green!

But so far pretty impressed. The main thing for me is the feel off the face and then working on the best grip. Experimenting around I feel like a claw style or pencil grip may work out the best.

how is the feel?

Feel is good.

Sounds silly but it feels like a proper putter. As I mentioned a number of these putters which are an unusual design (Axis1, Direct Force...) just feel awful. But yeah, this one feels good.

Managed to get out and roll a few (on greens that had just been punched...).

Finding a comfortable grip is the biggest challenge. Took me a while to realize that the white part of the grip is the extension compared to a conventional length putter and the idea is you don't grip the club there! 🤦‍♂️

I ended up with almost a baseball grip with a very weak right hand. Felt like that stopped me hitting a pull. It will certainly take some getting used to and I'm looking forward to giving it a go tomorrow on the course when I have an opportunity to line putts up and get different reads etc...

Interesting concept and there is some value in it for sure.

yep I actually really enjoyed the Superstroke Wristlock but it just wasn't right but this looks like its sorted them problems.

however, £400 is my stumbling block, I was just about to hit the pay button but pulled out.

Managed to get out and play today before the thunderstorms arrived!

Putted pretty well in my first outing with the mid lock.

32 putts. Nothing amazing but no 3 putts which is usually my killer. Managed to hole one putt from around 20 foot which was nice. Most of the long range putts where down to kick in range.

Playing again on Monday. This time on what should be slicker greens.

Even with a conventional putter I’ve been working hard on my pre-shot routine and getting it repeatable and consistent. Getting into the “shot box”.

With the mid lock that’s still a little funky and will take time to get fixed but I’ll get there.

Again the feel is great, feels like a conventional putter and gives a nice roll.

Yes these things have a high price but from a construction point of view these things are as good as you’ll find. They really are a fine piece of engineering.

Played my first competitive round with the MidLock yesterday. It was a four ball tournament over at the Governor's Club in Chapel Hill, NC. A Nicklaus design that had fast Bermuda greens which kicks my a** typically. Greens weren't quite as fast as normal which took some getting used to no matter what putter you where rolling.

We ended up 2nd shooting -3 and I was even on my own ball.

I certainly wouldn't say I'm 100% sold on this putter right now. I think I could have been 1-2 shots better if I'd putted how I wanted to. But that is all part of the learning curve with a new technique like this. I missed an eagle putt from about 5 feet by just not having enough conviction to get comfortable over the putt. Over the last year or so I've worked very hard on getting my pre shot routine working and using the theory of the 'shot box' for those of you who follow that sort of thing. Now with my conventional pre shot routine this putter doesn't work and I'm never comfortable over it. That'll just take some time and experimentation over the next few weeks.

Again the feel was great and I never felt like it was out of control. I'm going to try and get my blast motion sensor hooked unto this thing and get some data from it, comparing to my conventional putter.

I got the chance to roll one yesterday in store and I have to say I think this may work for me. I couldn’t pull the trigger on $400 right then and there, but it was without a doubt the most stable I’ve ever felt picking up a putter but still allowed for a slight arc in my stroke. You just set up completely normal to it and it does what it’s supposed to. I even compared it to a Kuchar Bettinardi that was in there as well as the Odyssey double wide armlock that was there and both just still feel awkward because of how much forward press is required. I have a slight forward press in my stroke, but no where near as much as what’s required by a traditional armlock. The mid lock didn’t require any changes to my set up or grip.

I'm still confused as to how this is any different than an armlock putter. Is it just that the grip has a bigger bulge at the end, so you don't have to forward press it as much to get it to lock into your arm? I can definitely see the advantages to that.

What happens when your grip gets all ratty, though? You're basically stuck with the Midlock grip, right?

Yes, the idea is you only need a 2-3* forward press to armlock as opposed to the typical 8-10* on a conventional armlock.

One quick thing I noticed...

The build quality on of Evnroll putters is second to none, however the black anodized finish doesn't look to last that well. I'm two rounds and a putting green session with this thing and it's already starting to show some wear. Not great...

Yikes, a putter that expensive shouldn't wear that fast. That's beyond just "low quality" finishing.

Received mine this week as well. I went with the 2.2v model. Build and feel is superb as always.

It’s gonna take some getting used to and honest evaluation if its helping or hurting....

Was doing fine on the practice green, but definitely lost a few strokes during my round. That’s expected I suppose.

For the others that have the Midlock, where would you say your ball position is?
