Evnroll Midlock

It was really well done. The Quintic provided all the data you could want and then some. As for availability my understanding was it’s based on the head you choose. They had zero ER2V’s in black which they don’t do themselves in-house. I was told 2-3 weeks.

Can’t wait. Hopefully whatever I end up with they have in stock.

Got mine delivered today. Definitely weird. I suspect there will be a lot on the BST because people ordered the wrong length. I don't think the +6 inches will work across the board. I went with a 40 but probably should have the 39. Lie angle is also off for me.

I've never used anything but a traditional putter so it feels super foreign. Ball position will have to change. Grip change. Posture change. I did get some good rolls after just a few putts though.

I got mine yesterday and tried it out on my synthetic putting green (will try out on real greens tomorrow).

Here are some inputs:

1) For the lock to secure against the forearm - it would help to play the ball a bit more forward.

2) I had more pulls to the left than normal.

3) Using my usual stance, the toe is sticking UP (which could lead to pulls I guess).

4) Feel of the putter head is second to none (I am currently using a Sacks Parente Series 16 putter and the feel of that thing is the absolute worst).

5) 4 footers feel easy - real easy.

6) 3 footers almost feels like a gimme (which may be for others - but isn't for me) - with the SP, i can get to 18 in a row before missing - using the midlock (ER11v) - I was already at 37 in a row and had to stop because my back was killing me!

7) Distance control (30 feet and above) is still an issue - but given it is an entirely new putting stroke - lag putting wasn't all that bad so I'm confident this will be addressed after some practice.

I've tried the armlock (Bettinardi) and that lasted about a week.

I've tried the Super Stroke wrtist lock - and that lasted about a day.

The Midlock putter is legit - I believe it will shave off a stroke or two off my average. I would advise to try first as the feel (it really encourages a 'shoulder turn stroke') of the stroke is very much different - but if you can get used to it - it should help with those struggling with putting.

Hope this helps.

PS - one last thing - the claw grip seems to work best for me using this putter.

Bought the 11v 40 inch from Dicks Sporting Goods.  My impressions:

Me Male, 3.5 handicap index.  Normally very streaky putter and looking for consistency.

1) Super weird at first.  Not as natural as what is shown on the Martin Chuck Youtube video.   I use 33 1/2 inch putters normally and I think the 40 is too long.

2) My fitted lie angle on my gamer odyssey is 68 degrees.  This is 71 degrees and felt really upright.

3) Have to play the ball way more forward than I usually do.

4) Really solid feel.

5) Easy to start on line and felt that I was very solid on short putts.

In the end, I really like the concept and think it will be beneficial.  I have just ordered the 39 inch, and although just an inch shorter I think this will allow me to make more of a normal setup for me.

Of note, Dicks says they will allow returns up to 30 days, and I asked on the online chat if I could return even if it was gently used, and was assured I could.

Evnroll return policy is 14 days and must be in original packaging, so I am really bothered by not being able to return a product that is novel and unique if you try it and don't like it, especially for the $419 plus shipping costs.

Received mine this week as well. I went with the 2.2v model. Build and feel is superb as always.

It’s gonna take some getting used to and honest evaluation if its helping or hurting....

Was doing fine on the practice green, but definitely lost a few strokes during my round. That’s expected I suppose.

For the others that have the Midlock, where would you say your ball position is?

My ball position is just in front of putter face between my heels.

Hi guys,

how about fitting? Does the +6 inch rule really work out or did anyone go with a more individual putter length? And how about loft? 4 degrees standard sounds quite little considering that you have to do a forward press…

thanks for your feedback!

I had been using a 33.5 inch putter and ordered 38.5 inch in the EvnRoll.  I also added a degree of loft.

Customer service from Evnroll is excellent. As stated before you can change the shaft and hosel with a screw. Bought standard ev11 40 inch. My preferred lie angle is 68 degrees. Spoke with a fitter at Evnroll and got the 39 inch with 68 degree AND 33 1/2 with gravity grip. Working to find what’s best for me.

loft OK for amount of forward press. I like the long slant.

Got mine, it's a improvement for sure but this is very different from other armlock putter.  It putts more like a normal putter, less shaft lean .

I prefer a more traditional arm lock set up with center shaft.  Going to let the 40" ER11V go, PM me if you are interested.

Ya this was my experience too. The increased offset and reduced shaft lean made my tendency to pull short putts increase compared to Odyssey’s models.

I think it is a great putter if you putt decent with a normal putter but just want to look for little bit more help.   But I need more help like the direct force arm lock.

I'm looking at the ER11v ML - Mallet right now. Just a bit afraid of ordering it without trying it in-person. The local GolfTown doesn't carry any of the midlocks. Had only 1 other evnroll product. It was a 34', I tried other putters and felt comfortable more with 35'. Not sure if I should order a 39' or 40' or how I could even try beforehand..

Anyone using left hand low with this setup?  If so, how does it feel? I would think it may feel better with this style putter over a traditional grip.  I’m thinking of picking one up in 38” or 39” as I like to choke down all the way to the end of the grip.

Has anyone tried the regular length? How is the feel off the face? I’m looking at one with a long plumbers neck at 36”, but nowhere near me to go try one?

I hit both the mid-lock and regular length 11v today.  They are ok feel wise. No complaints but nothing to write home about either. Both felt a little on the light side from what I am used to.  They only had the 40 in stock and I think I will need it in 39’” or if I can get it customized in 38”
