I ordered custom G 425s on June 19.  I was told today that the ship date was to be September 1; which has already been bumped from the original date of August 18.

I have ZERO confidence that I will get the clubs before October.

I am not sure if the other OEMs are faring any better.

PXG Proto +, 10.5 turned to 9; Ventus
PXG Gen4 3 metal ; Tensei Blue
PXG Gen4  5 metal;  Tensei Blue

PXG Gen4 Ps; 5-Gap with Nippon 950gh S
PXG Sugar Daddy wedges; 54 and 58; Nippon 950gh S

I want to start this post by saying I am a Ping fanboy, their irons fit my swing and game perfectly. Their customer service has been good to me for many many years.

I am very frustrated and confused about my iron order from may.
LH i210, x100, grips loose. Original ship date was July 1.

First check in call was a week prior to July 1, was told at that point staff was low and I was looking august 1.

Next check in call was second week of July, was told at that point I was on hold for a 4 iron head. Everything else was in stock. The iron heads were a week late on their end, but we were on time for Aug 1.

Call today, missing UW head, and 7 iron shaft. No expected date for either item. So frustrating, i guess the items are not allocated to each order? So next time I could be short other items. I wish I had just been offered the 5-U set after the second call (which they offered on the third call but said it would be missing a 7 as well).

Let me say this first, HUGE Ping fan. Have been for 30+ years. My company is experiencing the same difficulties getting raw material and parts from our suppliers. It’s frustrating for all parties involved. Unfortunately it’s not going to be better until mid 2022.

I suspect that your hunch is correct.

As customers, our perspective would be that what they did have in stock would be put aside until the other parts arrive.

But if you put yourself in the position of the business, you've got a big backlog of orders.   If there are orders that can be filled with the components you currently have, you're going to do that so that at least some of those orders can ship.

I was speaking to my local independent fitter yesterday about supply issues and he mentioned a very recent discussion with his Ping rep about delays.  Apparently the Ping factory in China has shut down again due to Covid and will add additional delays to Ping made heads, shafts and grips.  Silly lead times being quoted now and customers are asking for refunds.

Interesting that the worst delays seem to be affecting our friends over the pond in N. America. Was custom fitted by my local PGA pro (based in Cornwall; SW England) for a set of G425 4i - U orange dot 2 degs flat with Nippon AMT Stiff shafts and non standard grips. Clubs arrived less than 3 weeks after fitting which was back in April. Maybe UK / EU has less demand and better inventory? Either way, delighted with these irons - noticeable performance improvement (both slight distance gain and dispersion pattern) over my previous Titleist AP1s. Keep patient to those still waiting.

Disgraceful 5 month delays for my new ping irons - only arrogance from ping

It's terrible, right? It's pathetic how Ping can't deliver irons when every single club company out there is shipping on time and correctly, and everyone else is having zero supply chain issues with shafts and grips. There are no issues anywhere else in the entire world but Ping is just completely disgraceful. Sad, really.

Man, I ordered i210's in early July, was quoted early Oct. ship date. Hope that doesn't get stretched out any longer. I'm a patient man, but jeesh.

Ping should have continued the business model set by company founder Karsten Solheim, including USA production.

Decisions have consequences.  Had to have that cheap labor.  Welcome to the more expensive problem of lost revenue when people have enough and cancel orders.
