Ping Lead Times

10 weeks today(ordered June 2nd) on my g425 4-UW Green dot order. The place I ordered from checked last week and said it shows 8/16. So hoping they are far enough along that any shutdowns don't affect my order at this point.

 

If they push it out to Sep/Oct, I'm probably just going to cancel and wait for the beginning of next year to order something else. My neighbor ordered a set of custom Callaway Mavericks for his son in mid June(at least 2 weeks after me) and they already got them couple weeks ago.

I recently placed an online order with Carl's for some LH i210 irons, and just checked the timing with them.  They said that Ping quoted a December ship date... I laughed, said holy sxxt, and told them I'd probably be calling in a couple of months to cancel if that is in fact accurate.  We'll see how it plays out.  May as well wait for the next iteration by that point.

Ordered iBlade 4-pw w/ Modus 130X and Lamkin Crosslines. Order date 7/27 and shipment date target moved up to 9/24 from “November” quote at order.

Ordered a set of G425 irons on 6/22. Followed up last week on the status of my order and was told that Ping expected that the irons will be back in stock on 10/5 and will ship after they receive the inventory and it passes QC.

I had ping 425 irons ordered June 10th. Still haven’t received them. They told me it would be 8-10 weeks. It’s been 13 weeks

My i210s have finally arrived. Ordered May 1, delivered August 31. Original projected delivery date was June 29. 
 

Total time = 4 months.

Well after the last update of "after 10/5", my G425 irons are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow (9/16). I understand the supply chain issues, but being that far off with the date estimates is confusing.

What were the specs on your set? Order my set on 6/2 and was told November because the 4 and 7 iron shafts are on back order

Standard lie and length, regular flex Alta CB shafts, Golf Pride Multi-compound Align Standard Size

Information out is only as good as information in... and follow through.  You/we/I may understand there are supply chain issues, but none of us, nor the middleman (Ping, in this instance - as they are not the shaft supplier) understand how the supply chain issues will ultimately play out.

Ahh, graphite shafts. That's why. They don't seem to be having as bad an issue with them vs the steel shafts.

In part the delays are due to Ping using a "just in time" inventory strategy. Specifically, rather than assume the risk of owning inventory which may not sell thru quickly, Ping chooses to conservatively order components (heads-shafts-grips).

The owner of the largest private golf shop in my area ordered himself a set of G425 irons with Recoil DART shafts towards mid/end of August.  He had them in 2 weeks from time of order.   I just happened to be in the shop the day they were delivered and we got to talking about Pings backlog.  He kind of just smiled.
 

He’s on Ping staff and also a top 100 Ping fitter in the country.  I guess Ping takes care of their own first…..

Getting my irons Saturday, that was quicker than I thought. He said they shipped yesterday and would be here Sat. This is a lot faster than the G425 irons.

Was just on TGW looking at Ping irons and there’s a general statement that says anything custom will ship in January? Yikes. Between their price increases and delays, will definitely be going with non Ping equipment. A shame as I’m looking to update entire bag.

I ordered a set of G425 irons (4-PW+UW Orange Dot with Std Graphite shafts) on July 15th and was told by my golf shop that it will be late October before they are ready to ship.  I am surely not going to hold my breath since they have been postponed multiple times already.

Just ordered mine on Monday - G425 Orange Dots with AWT 2.0 Steel Stiff Shafts - Ordered after fitting from American Golf. Also ordered the G425 Max Driver with Tensei Raw Orange 65 Stiff. 

 

Was told I would get the Irons in January, and Driver should be around late November/Early December.

 

I've never had fitted clubs before, and equally never hit my irons so well as these, so happy to wait and get excited.

 

I am equally nervous about using my current clubs whilst I wait as don't want my swing or anything to change before I get the new ones, does anyone else feel like this? :D

I ordered the G425 Max 9° Driver with Ping Tour 65 shaft on Saturday and was told 15 working days for delivery. I used an independent fitter in the West Midlands, UK. Hoping I’m not waiting until December after seeing your comments but I also have a baby coming in the next couple of weeks so might be that long until I get back on the course anyway!

 

I wouldn’t worry about you’re swing changing, sounds like you adapted well to them from your current set up in the fitting. I had the G400’s custom fitted and they’re great!

Thought I would just contribute for anyone curious on the internet. Ordered g425 irons 5-U and a 4 hybrid on October 17th

 

Estimated delivery date February 17th. So about 17 weeks out. 
 

believe what you want but from what I understand it’s going to get worse before it gets better so may want to just pull the trigger asap if you want new clubs by next spring.

Ordered i210 4-gap July 23 with ten week delivery.  Now at 12 weeks with no delivery.  Called a month ago and was told all parts are in stock.  
 

Frustrating.

I canceled a G425 Max driver I ordered on 6/28 last Friday when it got delayed again until Dec-Jan.

On Saturday night I ordered a PXG Gen 4 0811 driver online. It was built, and shipped by Tuesday afternoon, so I’ll get it whenever FedEx gets around to delivering it, which is always a mystery, lol.

I’ve always been a big Ping guy, but I think they’ve lost me as a customer.  
PXG has a lot of Ping dna in their clubs, I couldn’t be happier with  the 0311 irons and I’m loving the Titleist hybrids I’ve got now. I’d planned on going with G425’s as my hybrid upgrade, but the TSi2’s are terrific. Same with the Vokey wedges..

Final piece to my bag is trying to decide between a Titleist 4 wood, or a 0311 15*. I’ll probably hold off until the new Callaway Rogue line is released though, as my selling the prior version was a big mistake. I really wish I’d kept that one.

My G425 Max driver arrived on 21st October, total turnaround time of 13 working days. Only issue for me was that they didn’t put the Arccos grip on, asked the place I bought it and they spun me a line that they don’t have any so are putting standard grips on. Bit annoyed about it as I’m an Arccos user already and was one of the selling points.

I’m a lefty, but with my order the shaft is/was the holdup. Enjoy your new driver, it’s a great club! I just wasn’t willing to hold out over 5 months waiting for one.

Ordered G425s in July. Was told they would be ready by October, then November, then December, now they are saying February 2022

As I mentioned in the G425 thread, I FINALLY received my G425 4-UW(Green Dot, Power Spec AWT 2.0 steel shafts) yesterday. Took Ping OVER SIX(6) MONTHS to finally deliver them(order place June 2nd, received December 20th).

 

If your order includes anything with a steel shaft, good luck. That seems to be a major hold up of most orders.

Does anyone know the turnaround for club repairs like sending in for lies and lofts? Is this severely backed up like the clubs?
