It’s no wonder the dude is a questionable putter, he looks like he’s set up to hit a punch shot from the inside of a bush.

I can see the rational behind testing different varieties of putters. 

 

However, Hideki is essentially testing the same style and almost all are milled. What's the point?

There is tens of thousands of dollars ( in the market value ) of putters on the green - insane.

 

But as others have already mentioned, Im shocked to see him continually test the same style even thought his putter is lukewarm at the best of times.

If you take out that Odyssey and Piretti, you can pretty much shoot “Scotty Cameron putters at Dell match play” thread just from Hideki’s bag. 😀

 

Man, his ball striking is too good to not win some big games. Hopefully, this could be his year.

Believe it or not, the putters will feel different, have a different weight and a different look. So the combination of look, weight and feel make a huge difference to putting, he's always tinkering - a lot like all of us!  He's got a T-22, Super Rat, and his "ace" gamer along with a few others but each have distinct feels.

The face milling differences alone are going to give different sound/feel at impact.

Different weights, neck placement, offset, face height, blade length/width, etc. Lots of little factors here.

Two of them have tigers new grip.  That’s funny. Guys a fan and clearly paying attention to the goat.  Don’t know why he tests he always goes back to that thin GSS Newport 2 with the 3 black dots , always.

More than likely different weights and weight placement plus different lofts and lies

He could be testing weight, trend has been going a bit heavier...he might also be testing site line.  Also SC is doing more of a fine milling and moving away from deep face.

 

he should try carbon and a different finish and look if he likes that style head.  SC, over priced and valued.

Hideki is such a clear candidate for an armlock putter. Why he continues to test subtle iterations of the same putter is beyond me.

IIRC some years back he used a Piretti when he won the Fed Ex Cup and was a distributor in Europe. However Stenson has gamed Odyssey putters for years.
